Diaz & Ass., Monday [10/19].
How was it that business was nice and slow and practically adjacent to non-existent up until the moment you got back from a vacation, and then, all of a sudden, everything seemed to land in your inbox and voicemails all at once?
Thankfully, most of what was waiting for Rosa when she got back to the office was too stupid or irrelevant to actually consider and could be easily dismissed. The whole problem was having to sort through the mess for anything that might actually be worthy of her attention.
Sort of like digging through the bowls of candy that kept showing up on her desk, which, apparently, you had to be vigilent about, because the moment her grazing became even remotely absent-minded? Boom. Black licorice.
It was practically insidious.
Diaz & Ass. is open!

Her eyes drifted toward the bowl on the desk.
"And candy."

Lunch was not quiche. Lunch was a burger and fries, because sometimes you had to go classic.

But a burger was way better, and Rosa just sort of gave Tightpants a look that seemed to wonder if he thought he was funny once she did dig out what was in the bag.

And working his way through the candy, not even pausing at the black licorice.
"So did Baltimore fall apart without you? Anybody need extra punching?" What? She wasn't the only one bored sometimes.

"There's always someone that needs extra punching," Rosa pointed out, "and I'm honestly surpise that place holds itself together at all."
