The Perk, Thursday Noon
You know what Lucifer hadn't had in several millennia? An extreme shake.
He hadn't expected the trip to the Perk to be as extreme as it wound up being, having to brush off toad... things repeatedly. "This is a new suit," he hissed at the critters, as he shook another few off his pant leg and pushed into the Perk.
"Hello, baristas!" he bellowed, slamming the door shut on the stupid animals behind him. "I have returned!"
One of the baristas clapped very enthusiastically. The other two sort of joined in at a slightly lower level.
He walked up to the bar, beamed, and said, "Please get me the largest, most chocolate-filled decadent concoction you can come up with." He slapped a twenty on the counter. "Surprise me."
It was a marvel, really, he reflected some ten minutes later, just how much chocolate, cream and doughnuts you could stack on a milkshake.
