Having mixed feelings about this particular Earth holiday, but convinced at least the lead-up to it wasn't nearly as bad as that Christmas one, Amaya was feeling pretty confident that it seemed appropriate to go with the holiday theme for today's movie (assuming the equipment would cooperate, anyway, because she really did not want to find out that there actually was a Halloween-themed mushy musical out there in the world). So, once everyone had mostly arrived and mingled a little and got themselves settled, she just got right to it.

"With Halloween coming up this weekend," she announced, "I figured it would just make sense to pick a movie that fit the theme. Now, this is actually the third movie in a series, but I've been reassured that you really, really don't need to have seen the other two for this one to make sense, they're apparently not even remotely related, and going with the first one I guess just seemed a little too on the nose. So enjoy!"

And with that, she pushed play and got settled in herself.

To her credit, Amaya really tried to keep the snacks basic and average and the run-of-the-mill stuff, but the community center seemed to have a different idea and everything was absolutely distinctly pumpkin flavored.

Including the popcorn and tea.

She'd feel really bad about it, but her hands were clearly tied in this instance. If there was anything this place loved, it was a THEME.
