Trooper Station, Monday, November 2, 2020
Steve was Not Thinking About Saturday night, and he was not thinking so hard that he'd made the Troopers run laps around the island for twice the normal time.
It was possible there would be a coup attempt soon, but for now Steve was happily ignoring paperwork of complaints filed on Saturday about propery damage from various rodents.
The Trooper Station was open!

Wandering in she wasn't expecting to see more of the guys in the white armor. She stared at them for a bit, trying to figure out what their deal was before looking around the office.
And then headed to the guy with the biggest pile of paperwork on his desk. He was either in charge or didn't give a crap about doing useless work. Either one would suit her needs.
"I'm assuming you work here?" she asked, pulling off her scarf and reaching into her jacket to pull out some identification. "I was hoping someone might help me out on a private investigation."

Then again, maybe they were all named Calvin.
Shaking off the thoughts about people in armor, Jessica focused back at the guy in front of her. "I'm only visiting. I'm here on business," she said pulling our her PI license to show to McGarrett and then her phone. "There was a person of interest back in New York who had this island pegged as a place to escape. I'm just following up to see if he had any contact with anyone on the island."
Pulling up a picture on her phone she turned it around to show to McGarrett. "Does he look familiar at all? He went by the name of Kilgrave."

She rolled her eyes a bit preparing herself for a snarky comment. I mean really it sounded stupid when you said it out loud.
"-mind controlled? Maybe having someone give away their personal items because of a guy in a suit asked for something?"

Hi, Jessica. Welcome to Fandom.

Sorry, Steve. Summer already dropped that bomb.
Jessica gave Steve a long look. A very long look. “And what did you turn into?”
She’s going to regret asking that.

“Right.”
She pulled out her business card and put it on the desk. “If you or-“
She looked around at all the troopers and shrugged. “Calvin’s one through six hear anything about mind controlled individuals let me know.”

Granted, Jessica was the client but it wasn't technically a lie.
"Thanks for the information," she said and headed to the door.

despite the timestamp. "Looks like we've got an actual case to work on."no subject

"You know Stark?" he asked. "The guy with the mask, not the one who owns the repair shop."

And that meant also getting everyone at the Station helping as well, because look, he was in charge and he could do that, and it gave them something police-y to do.

There was a lot of crap in the equipment locker that he hadn't anticipated actually having to use one day.

That'd be a look.

And he'd definitely seen a couple raccoons at the party.

Because if not, guess what was going in the fridge?

"You're gonna go buy some, aren't you?" he asked, biting back a grin.
