Kitty got to work today and found Tino already stringing Christmas lights up behind the bar.

She looked at him.

He stopped and looked at her.

"I'll allow it," she decided. What, they were pretty.

It wasn't often that Rosa had a disapproving glare for Kitty, but today was clearly an exception.

"I'm getting a summery Mai Tai today," she informed her, "out of sheer protest and spite."

"I'll also allowing that," Kitty said. "I'm a very allowing person tonight."

"There is such a thing as being too allowing," said Rosa. Who was definitely well known for her own wide-spread allowing nature...

"I think Christmas started at Halloween this year. I've just accepted it," she reasoned. "Plus lights are pretty."

Rosa looked at Kitty a moment, then looked around as if to give the lights a second consideration.

"They're okay," she concluded.

Ugh, maybe the allowing was catching...

"I'll take okay," Kitty said, starting on the summery drink. "We'll see if next week I show up and there's a tree."

...well now there would be.

"I swear to god," Rosa vowed, "if I see even one of those creepy shelf elf things, I'm deflecting to the Devil's Nest."

With Seivarden now officially gone, the only thing tethering her loyalty to this place was friendship...

"Well that's not allowed," Kitty told her.

So much for this so called allowing person she claimed to be!

It was mostly an empty threat, though. If anything, Caritas was still closer, so...

"I don't even like Christmas in December, Kitty," Rosa said. "November is definitely pushing it."

Jessica didn't even notice the lights when she came in. Maybe it's because the bar she usually frequented put up Christmas lights one year and never took them down.

Either way she gave a nod of acknowledgement to the bartender with a nod of her head as she took her seat. "Can I have an eggnog with whiskey?" she asked. "Hold the eggnog?"

"Yeah," Kitty said, eyeing her a little because she looked kind of familiar. "Haven't seen you in here before."

"Yeah. I'm new to the island," Jessica said already having braced herself that everyone here liked to talk more than the average New Yorker. "Jessica Jones. I came here on a case I was following up on. I'm thinking of sticking around."

"Jessica Jones... from New York?" Kitty guessed.

"Yeah," she said with a shrug. Honestly being a New Yorker was pretty identifiable to her so she didn't think any more of the guess. "I had an office in Hell's Kitchen I worked out of."

"I know a New York Jessica Jones who did that," she said. "I'm Kitty Pryde."

Not that she really expected Jessica to know her. Kitty really only knew her in passing.

Jessica paused from taking a drink and put it back down on the table. She had been here long enough to know that there were multiple realities. However this was the first time she heard of an alternate version of her.

"Nice to meet you," she said awkwardly. "When you say you know a Jessica Jones does that mean you know of or are-"

She paused trying to find the right words.

"actually familiar with her. Me."

She shook her head.

"This is weird."

"Both, kind of. I don't really know that Jessica personally but we run in similar circles," Kitty explained. "It is weird. Sorry."

"I'll admit. I haven't heard of you," Jessica replied.

Damn it, Fox. You probably won't show up until phase five or six, Kitty. Sorry.

"Don't be sorry. I already had a run-in with a doppelganger here who looked like someone from my world."

She paused for a moment. Thinking. "I don't supposed you're familiar with anyone by the name of Kilgrave?"

When Rosa noticed Jones there, she acknowledged her with a small lift of her chin.

Which was considerably more than she'd bother giving most people in this bar, so that was probably not a bad sign.

Jessica raised her glass back in acknowledgement. "We meet again."

"Big, bustling town like this," Rosa observed. "What are the odds?"

"Well it depends on where you go to drink I guess," Jessica said signaling Tino to get Diaz a drink on her. "If this is your personal place I'll gladly hang out at the Raccoon bar. Just to separate any potential business from our personal lives."

"Dont say that," Rosa scoffed slightly, in part for the words she was saying and in part for next drink apparently coming her way. "Kitty'll be on my ass again for driving people away..."

Look, she couldn't help it if some people seemed incapable of just leaving her the hell alone.

"Driving people away? I thought that was my talent," Jessica said looking slightly amused. "My usual methods are sarcasm and avoidance. Yours?"

Rosa seemed to consider Jones for a moment, long enough for Tino to deliver on that drink, and she lifted it in appreciation before having a sip.

"Let's wait until you're at least on the payroll," she said, "before we start swapping trade secrets."

So...pretty much same, yeah.
