A cup of tea, a slice of chocolate cake and a novel, by the window at the Perk. That was a good way to spend the afternoon, after a morning of practicing the piano.

It had almost surprised Lucille how quickly she had got used to living on the island again, and that most - but not all - memories of the past was sinking down into the clay pit along with her house.
