There were Christmas lights in the windows when Lucille arrived, but not in excess and thus not too annoying. She just hoped it wouldn't get worse, and to compensate she decided to make some arrangements with dark red, almost black, roses, to place in the window with them. Perhaps she could sell them at a discount in the afternoon if they didn't turn out to be popular?

They turned out to be popular.
