Constantine was on the island. Lucifer was, and remained, not amused.

... so yes, the music choices tonight were definitely on the irritated side tonight.

Lucille wasn't sure if the invitation to play at Devil's Nest had been a one-time occasion, but she was going to be bold enough to stop by and ask. It had gone well last time, hadn't it?

She bought a glass of red wine - there would be only one - and listened to the music, waiting for Lucifer to finish.

Which he did eventually. He did need a moment to drink, after all, and the club was quiet for its usual standards.

Lucifer reached for his drink-- and noticed her watching.

"Miss Sharpe."

"Mr Morningstar."

Lucille smiled. "You do have a varied taste in music."

"I did warn you," Lucifer said with a pleasant grin, even if there was a bit of an edge to it. "You're hoping to take to the piano, I imagine."

"Unless you object, of course," Lucille said. "And yes, you did warn me."

"No particular objections," Lucifer said, standing up. "Though if you've got something angry in your repertoire, I'd love to hear it."

"Perhaps. Why angry?"

Lucille assumed that if Lucifer found the question nosy he wouldn't answer.

"I'm in a certain kind of mood," Lucifer said, grinned at her again in a way that didn't reach his eyes, and walked to a seat.

Lucille smiled back, not bothered by that expression or the cause for the request. She took a seat at the piano, and after a moment of consideration she started with something that was at least dramatic, if not quite angry, then moved on to play a few other pieces that were more melancholy.

Well, at least Lucifer's annoyance about Constantine - and subsequent musical requests - meant he hadn't actually taken note of the fact neither Octavia nor Duke had been by this week. Which was good, because that way lay completely unnecessary overthinking.

Either way, he settled into a booth with his drink and listened to her play.
