Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey had shown up earlier than normal, and had started running through some drills before deciding that she wanted something harder today.

Naturally that meant setting up Barry's remotes to chase her while she ran the course with the rain on. She kept it on easy mode because she was nowhere close to mastering the course and this was definitely going to end in bruises, but she actually wasn't doing terribly and that was what she was going to go with here. She felt good about it.

There was also an inflatable reindeer waiting right where Anakin would see it when he got here.

"No," Anakin said, pointing to the reindeer.

"Stark said it would be good for your children," she called from where she was finishing up.

Thus answering the question of whether or not she'd throw him under the bus there.

"No," Anakin repeated. Emphatically.

[thatwaslucky]

"Sorry, can't hear you!" Rey totally lied.

[sith_happened]

"NOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo," Anakin had to said.

"It's very loud up here!"

What with all the rain. Was she going a little more slowly now at this? Yes.

"Sure it is," Anakin muttered, glaring at the deer.

[thatwaslucky]

If it helped, she definitely took a tennis ball to the shoulder for that.

And she finished up slow, wiping water from her face, and saying, "Good week?"

Maybe if she changed the subject?

"Well, the reindeer on the roof was something yesterday," Anakin said dryly.

[thatwaslucky]

"I'm on the second floor, that didn't affect me," Rey tried. "The song in the kitchens today isn't too bad..."

"It took me too long to realize that wasn't Christopher just being annoying," Anakin admitted.

[thatwaslucky]

"It was a little creepy at first, living alone, but the song is pretty," Rey said.

[sith_happened]

"It is," Anakin admitted, nodding. "How have you been? Still have a plethora of reindeer?"

Because this one is still your reindeer, Rey.

[thatwaslucky]

"I'm down to one as of the ping I just got, after this one," Rey said.

It'd go in front of his house next, don't think she wouldn't do it. She had slept on a stone bench outdoors for days to outstubborn his son.

"Then it's a matter of the Santa hats."

"Well, in that case, you need to get rid of them before the day where we all get them stuck on our heads," Anakin said.

Rey paused, deeply concerned. She had a box of them.

"Those are special, randomly-appearing hats, aren't they?"

She was sure they'd be useful next year so she didn't want to trash them but she didn't think she was at the point in her relationship where she could just stay at Silver's through Christmas just in case of weirdness.

"I think so," Anakin said. "I've been here over a decade and I don't have a collection of them."

"That's a relief, suddenly," Rey admitted. "This year has been more... festive for me than usual."

[sith_happened]

"Well, you did host the Christmas party of the year," Anakin said, smiling. "That helped."

[thatwaslucky]

"It was really Annie and Summer. I just had the larger apartment," she said.

The stupidly large apartment for one person who was used to living out of like two rooms.

Anakin laughed. "If you're in charge of getting rid of the decorations, it's your party."

[thatwaslucky]

"They bought it all, and only the reindeer are left to give away," she said. "So really..."

[sith_happened]

"Just dump it on their doorsteps and run away since it's theirs?"

No.

[thatwaslucky]

"Annie's taken a couple to give away, and a few were gone before I came back to the apartment the next day," Rey said. "So there has been help, at least."

"Make Summer give them out with each Jello shot," Anakin said.
