It seemed that the store had gotten itself into quite the festive mood that day, celebrating the New Year a little early in the form of confetti and horns blowing out of all the freezers and refrigerated cases whenever anyone happened to open one of them.
Shunsui, of course, found it absolutely delightful, even if all those noisemakers did make it rather difficult to keep a consistent nap going. However, he decided to merely embrace the early celebration and turn every cheer and burst of confetti as a reason to make a toast and have a drink.
Apu, naturally, was far less thrilled about this merriment, because of course he was the one left cleaning it all up.
