Atlas Gym, Monday (1/4)
Beau wasn't starting classes just yet, but she did have a shiny (if really basic) new laptop that she had with her at work today, because she was still A) getting familiar with how it worked, B) getting all the software she was going to need set up, and C) making sure she had all the textbooks and materials she was going to need.
One of those things was prompting occasional intense outbursts of sputtering and swearing, and it wasn't anything that had to do with being able to use the computer itself. Things like "bullshit" and "fucking ripoff" seemed to be a recurring theme here.
Good thing Beauhad proficiency in search engines now already had a nice solid grasp on how to search for things on the Internet, at least, because it looked like all her down time today was going to go into researching less exorbitant ways to get a hold of the books she was going to need. Which were not entirely legal, necessarily, and wow, it was a good thing that Beau, whose teenage years had been devoted to finding every possible form of rebellion (and building herself a nice solid criminal record in the process) had a pretty good aptitude and absolutely no compunction whatsoever about finding... alternative sources.
The nice thing about working at a gym, too, was that working off any frustration or annoyance that built up in the process was really, really not a problem. She was just safety-testing the equipment. Really.
[OOC: If I had posted last night's draft of this you would know exactly how many times I fell asleep writing it, but anyway, open! Today at work is not going to be fun so SP is super going to be a thing.]

Listen, sometimes you just had to be an ass purely for the sake of it, but you needed the right sparring partner, so to speak. It wasn't the same as the weird camaraderie she had been on her way to building with Molly, but... yeah.
"People are dumb, and the world kind of sucks in a few ways. What else is new?"

"They really should invent implants. And AIs while they're at it."
