Éponine could not for the life of her say how it had started, but it looked like some of the mail snails were having a race -- egged on by the gremlins, maybe, but she wouldn't swear to it.
In any case, it certainly seemed to have gotten the snails into an energetic mood, so if that was your shipping rate of choice today... you were getting a little bit more for your money than usual.
