Devil's Nest | Sunday Evening

Silver had noticed that weird little crystal thing on his stomach yesterday and spent a lot of time worrying about what it meant. Let's just say he spent a lot of time on WebMD and convinced himself he had several types of terminal illnesses.

Today, however, he was pretty okay with it. Que sera sera and all that. There was rum, he was content to be at work. He would have been content to be anywhere today, really.

Both Tiny and Silver were pretty chill today, so take your pick.

Rey was also in a very relaxed mood, and could have been totally content to just hang out in her apartment tonight, but wasn't it better to be relaxed around her terrific boyfriend?

"It's a good day, isn't it?" she greeted him with a smile.

"It is a good day," Silver agreed with a smile. "Much better than yesterday."

"Was yesterday not good?" Yesterday had been her happy day, this weekend was great for her so far.

"I was very tense for some reason. I'm over it now though," Silver said. "I think maybe I just needed a good night's sleep."

Yes, that was it.

"You should have come over, I could have helped with that," she told him.

Who's to say he'd be wanting to let loved up when WebMD had told him he was dying though.

He smiled again. "And how would you have done that?"

"I would have gotten you in bed," Rey said easily.

"Straight to the point, aren't you?" he said with a laugh. "That would have probably helped."

It would not have, but let him keep his delusions.

"The important thing is you're better now," Rey told him. "And we can always get together later."

Though her mood today was more 'be lazy and cuddle.'

"I was hoping you'd say that," he said with another smile. "I didn't have much in the way of plans but I wanted you to be there."

Aww, look at the very relaxed warm fuzzies that gave her.

"I like that," she said with a smile of her own. "It's always more comfortable with you there."

"Did you want to do anything in particular?" Truly, Silver could just watch bad TV on the mermaid couch and be content right now.

"As long as we're together I'm fine with anything. We could lay in bed at my place or on the couch at your place..."

A thrilling night of contented cuddling.

And if he decided to do something else, she'd be fine with that too!

"That sounds amazing," he said, feeling even more relaxed thinking about it. "All of it. We can split time and lay in both places."

"You're brilliant," she decided. I don't know how we don't do that all the time."

Let's be real, Silver probably could do that every day. Rey was a more productive sort on a normal day, luckily, and it encouraged him to not be totally lazy.

"We should," he said with a nod. "What's stopping us?"

Being productive members of society, for one.

"Nothing I can think of. We can continue doing nothing but keeping each other company tomorrow, too."

This plan would of course be brought to you by at least one of these two waking up in a very different mood tomorrow.

Silver was either going to be super affectionate or irritated as hell tomorrow. Only one of which would be conductive to being lazy.

"I like that idea," he said. "You're pretty brilliant too."

"I'm always so glad I come in here," Rey said, reaching for his hand.

"I am always glad when you come in here," he said, taking her hand. "It's pretty much why I showed up to work today."

He would have just stayed in his apartment chilling otherwise.

One of them probably should have been un-lazy enough to pick up the phone before anyone went anywhere, really. They lived across the hall from each other.

"That's so sweet," she said easily. "You're very good at this boyfriend thing."

"It helps that you're good at the girlfriend thing," he said. "It's a standard I try to live up to."

"The funny thing about that is I really have no idea what I'm doing," Rey said with a little laugh.

Silver leaned in close, like he was about to tell a big secret. "I don't know what I'm doing either."

"We're so lucky this is working out," she said, taking advantage of his lean to give him a kiss.

That seemed like fun, but a lot of effort.

What mood will Eric be in? Who knows!
