Silver wasn't quite as chill as he was last week, but he wasn't that much of an uptight person in the first place so his mood wasn't that dissimilar without the stomach gem. In fact he was pretty much doing the same thing he was last week, quietly drinking rum and looking up what ridiculous holiday was coming up next. At least he was a little familiar with Easter.

He was there if you wanted him.

After a tough day at work, it was kind of nice to know Rey could stop in here and end the day on a good note.

"What are you looking up?" she asked, taking her seat.

"Easter," Silver replied. "It is very different in this century."

"No bunnies, chocolate and zombies back then?" she guessed.

Yes, that was all Rey got about Easter.

"It was very much a religious holiday," he said. "Not a lot of fun to be had. I guess that's why the incorporated the bunny and the chocolate."

Rey paused, clearly thinking way too hard about how that happened.

"Maybe one day the holidays here will make sense to me." No, sweetie. No they wouldn't.

"They don't make much sense to me either and I'm from this planet," Silver said, putting his phone down. "Soda, I presume?"

"Please. And I'll even let you spike it today," she told him.

"Oh wow, what's the occasion?" he asked, adding a small splash of rum to her soda before sliding it over.

"Just trying to keep you on your toes," Rey smiled. "Also work was terrible."

"In what way?" he asked.

"I was maybe too relaxed last week, and put everything off till today," she said. "People were not happy."

"Ah. Yes, I can see why people would be upset," he said. "But it's not like that was your fault."

"No, but that's not always easy to explain. So you just work harder to get everything done as fast and correctly as possible. All day," Rey said.

"I'm sorry," he said. "Do you want more rum in your drink?"

"No, this is good," she told him with a smile. "Besides, I have you now."

He smiled. "I'm not sure how much I'll be able to help your bad day, but I'll try."

"It's not like you have to do much," she said, amused.

"Just be my usual, charming self?" he joked.

"Actually, yes, exactly," she told him, smiling.

"Well that's easy enough," he said. "If I mess up on that somehow, please let me know."

"I'm sure I don't have to worry. I can't believe you've ever not been charming," Rey said.

Silver laughed. "Oh, no. There are plenty of people who would disagree with that, I assure you."

"People you were stealing from and not dating?" she guessed.

"Yes, exactly," he said. "And that's when charm is most important so it's a real shame when it didn't work out in my favor."

"I guess the important thing is that you got out of those situations anyway," Rey said. Which, for the record, she was glad for.

"I suppose you're right," Silver said. "It's nice to only use my charm to impress you."

"I don't even think you've ever had to work that hard with me," she said with a soft laugh.

"I try very hard," he joked. "I just make it look effortless."

"You're still trying to impress me?" Rey smiled.

Sometimes she forgot they'd only been together for like four months.

"Always," he said with a smile.

"I could tell you if it's working, but I don't want you to get complacent." Like her face didn't say it all.

"Better to keep that sense of mystery," Silver said with a nod. "That way I'll just keep trying."

"And I don't want you to think I'm too easy, either."

She was, though. She so was.

Silver grinned. "Oh I would never think that, I promise."

Even though it was very obvious how easy they were when it came to each other.

And then she had to go ahead and prove that by pushing herself up so she could lean across the bar for a kiss like a super easy person who appreciated when people made an effort for her.

Well, easy or not, he wasn't going to complain about kissing. "I love you."

That also went a long way explaining the "easy for each other" thing.

"I love you, too," she said, smiling. "See, you are vastly improving my day."
