Fandom Fire Station to an abandoned warehouse, Friday

When the alarms went off, signaling an actual reported fire in town, Travis almost didn't know what to do.

"Oh thank god," he muttered, as he rushed away from the reception desk to get into his turnouts and get the tiny little fire engine on the road. "Not that I'm actually hoping for wanton fiery destruction or anything but -- I'm literally not talking to anyone. I need a life."

The little engine that could careened down Galactica Drive, siren blaring, scattering NPC townspeople and rickshaws as it pulled a hard right onto Serenity Place, pulling to a stop at the last warehouse on the corner by Phoenix Way. A thin trail of gray smoke curled into the sky from the building as Travis hopped off the rig and started unspooling his hose. He looked around for someone to ask for an update on the situation--someone had to have called the thing in, right?--when a singed looking....lizard....thing.........came running out waving its clawed hands in the air and shouting something garbled at Travis.

Travis tried not to stare.

"Alright," he said, using his best 'everything's under control', talking to victims voice on the...creature. "Everything's going to be fine, sir. Ma'am? Citizen?"

The thing waved its hands and gnashed its teeth.

"Let's try this," Travis said. "Is there anyone else in the building? Gnash once for yes, twice for no."

The thing gnashed once. Travis nodded and grabbed his oxygen mask.

"Stay out here. I'll get your...fellow creatures out safe, okay?"

Another gnash. Travis took it for agreement, then surveyed the building again.

Well. If he just pretended the little green thing was a very short person, this was something he definitely knew how to do.

[OH SO VERY OPEN. The smoke is visible from the air, and the engine was not quiet roaring down the street, so anyone who wants to know this is going on is more than welcome to do so!]
