Travis had decided to give himself a day off today. So, naturally, his personal phone got any number of messages. After replying to all of them--he was a responsible member of the community, dammit -- he headed out on a run through town, faintly enjoying the rather Seattle-like damp and cloudy weather they were getting.

And, pausing on a bench in the park to watch the flamingoes (and wonder if they were the birds that were 'discounted'), he decided to text home himself.

Because what could possibly go wrong with sending hot pictures of firefighters with puppies to Vic, right?
