Eric was getting tired of answering his texts, but not enough to stop sending dirty messages to people while lounging around shirtless.

It was reflected in his special tonight:

FREE DRINKS IF YOU'LL OWN UP TO THAT THING YOU SENT ME.

The Devil's Nest was open! If distracted. Tiny was used to people, generally speaking, wearing CLOTHES, ERIC.

Did Faye look like she'd run here? Because she had.

Honestly, she was just glad to see Eric at the bar, because if she'd gotten her days mixed up and this was Allie's night or something, then that meant the message she'd gotten might have meant the other bar, which meant it might have come from Tino. (EW.)

She was a little out of breath when she approached the bar, fanning herself. "You said something about sake?" she prompted. Which, like, that was usually Shunsui's thing, so that was a little odd, but psh like Faye was gonna tell some hot vampire no when he was offering her weird hot wine?

Eric smirked. "I did," he said.

Had the message originally been from her or for her? Did it matter?

It did not.

"Tiny, get the lady some sake."

Faye was just now taking in the specials board. (Again: getting here had been an emergency.)

"I didn't send you anything," she admitted, frowning. "'Cept to say I was on my way. I can send something now."

Actually, no she couldn't, because it would go to the blonde who worked here on Mondays or something.

Eric grinned. "You can say you sent something and it just went awry."

"Technology from this early in the century is fickle," Faye decided, grinning back. "Something's up with the phones, isn't it?"

(She was still going to choose to believe that that booty text had been for her, thank you.)

"It's happened a few times," said Eric, the Fandom vet. "It's best to just ignore most of them unless they are very odd and from people you know."

Travis had not gotten any messages about shirtlessness. He was just feeling the need to be drunk right now.

. . . The shirtless blonde was appreciated anyway, though.

Eric winked. "You didn't get propositioned today? What a shame."

"Um." Travis thought back over all the various messages he'd gotten today. ". . . Depends. Are videos of puppies code for something?"

"Possibly," Eric said, "but I'm not exactly up on the new slang. I heard a teenager talking about sitting in a park and 'vibing' the other day and my eyes almost rolled out of my head."

"I've heard that one," Travis said. "Usually when I'm answering a 911 call about someone ODing. I'm pretty sure it's not a sex thing."

"Apparently the communications aren't working right," Faye offered in greeting to the new guy, waving her own phone at him.

She was now painstakingly going back through the things she'd received and sent herself today to see whether there was anything she should consider apologizing for. ('Consider' being the operative word, of course.)

"That...." Travis bobbed his head slowly in a nod. "That explains kind of a lot, actually."

"Doesn't it? 'Cept I guess Eric's texts are coming through fine." Still in total denial that the booty text wasn't actually meant for her, yes.

"I'm assuming those are the ones the special's referring to," Travis said. "Is he, uh...lady-exclusive, or....?"

Admittedly, Faye did have a slight low-key-drag-queen vibe to her.

"Hello, darling!" Jaskier was there and ready to party. Was anyone surprised?

"Jaskier!" Eric said, beaming. "How was your day?"

Eric grinned back. "It's Shirtless Thursday. I'm making it a theme night."

"Oh, I can do that," Jaskier assured him, wriggling out of his many layers to be on an even playing field with Eric.

"Hello there, I don't know you and I should," Faye decided, taking a real interest in this other shirtless guy.

"Well, hello there to you too," Jaskier said, immediately turning all his charm on her as well.

"Faye," she introduced herself, holding out a hand to either shake or be kissed, his choice. "This bar's a lot quieter than the other one this week, but the company's better."

Even if she'd made off with so much spring break cash on Tuesday.

"Jaskier," he replied, shamelessly kissing that hand. "I haven't been to the other this week. Was there another strange holiday celebration going on?"

Jessica needed a drink. Just a drink. There had been plans earlier but that all went to hell so she just wanted booze.

So when she walked into the bar and saw shirtlessness she just turned on her heel and headed for the door.
