The birds were still there, but the bonsai trees were back to normal. Lucille guessed she just had to get used to them. She sat down behind the counter with a cup of tea, and opened the book she had brought with her, realising that the bird song was actually quite pleasant.

Very pleasant. She found it hard to keep her eyes open. Soon anyone who stopped by the shop would find the owner asleep, head resting on her arms, on top of a book.
