If there was ever a day to make Rosa really, really glad she'd ditched the cop thing and went off to do her own thing, it was today. Because today was definitely a day that she realized that her body was feeling a very particular...charge that was incredibly familiar to her now, and she knew exactly what this feeling meant, and that feeling not only meant that she was going to have the sort of week that would make her boyfriend incredibly glad for his superhuman strength and stamina, but it also meant that this time around? It didn't also come hand-in-hand with Rosa thinking an awful lot about flat trooper butts.
Granted, acknowledging that she wasn't thinking about flat trooper butts that morning did lead to thinking about flat trooper butts regardless, but she was not actually surrounded by flat trooper butts right now, and that made all the difference.
And to her credit, Rosa actually did go downstairs and boot up her computer, turn on all the lights, and settle in for at least a little bit of time to do some work. She got some coffee going. She took a moment to revel in the complete and utter lack of flat armored butts around her. She settled in behind the computer and turned her focus onto the screen.
That worked for about five...maybe ten minutes.
Because her incredibly hot boyfriend with the superhuman strength and stamina was literally just upstairs, and, you know what? She'll admit it. She was definitely a fool to think she could just sit here at a computer scrollig through emails and hunting for worthwhile cases when all of that was literally just going on right above her head.
So she shut down the computer, flicked off the lights, went to grab the coffee because she'd probably need it it, and just went right back up to the apartment. Some battles were just definitely not worth fighting.
