The Onsen; Tuesday Afternoon [04/06].
If there was any marked difference in the way Shunsui was feeling that week, it was only because he actually pssessed a rare modicum of motivation these past few days that was perhaps a bit out of the norm. This was, after all, a man who, after a flux of propositions on Thursday, instead of concerning himself with the complete and utter lack of follow-up on any of his responses, just decided to take a nap, and was just as content for it.
But yesterday after his class, he pursued one particular motivation that did not surface very often, and that was to go into training with Katen, and what a training session it had been, leaving him exhausted and satisfied in more ways than one and agreeing with her wholeheartedly that he really did neglect his Zanpakutō training far too often, didn't he? And he was thinking of another session with her again today, but there were so many other possibilities in which this sudden spring of motivation in his step could manifest. A trip to the mainland, perhaps, like he did with most of his free time? It had been a while before he trolled around the bars on the island, too. It was exactly the kind of mood to remind him it had been a while since he'd stopped in for a visit with Ghani-chan, or maybe he should start pestering Movie Class-chan again. But despite all this motivation to actually pursue things, there was the fact that Katen really had taken advantage of his sudden interest in training and run him almost ragged, and it was a sweet exhaustion, to be sure, but one his poor gigai was still feeling.
So a soak in the onsen, of course, where he could enjoy the warm water and his illicit cups of sake, daydream about all the possibilities ahead of him, and if there happened to be any other barely clad bodies that would find themselves in the same situation, well, then...all the better.
And when he cracked an eye open at a small chime from his phone, his grin grew a little more at what he could only imagine was yet another door of possibility opening.
[[ it would be a shame not to drag him out more on this particular week and my schedule's wonky this week, anyway, so open onsen is most certainly, definitely open! ]]

This was her favorite week already, honestly. Even if nothing came of any of it, the attention alone was already delightful.
"Here to the rescue," she called lightly, stepping into the water.

"My hero ♥," said Shunsui, with a long, lingering look so that Faye knew just how appreciated this rescue truly was, and a hand to his chest before it left to find a pair of cups in the incredibly optimistic stack that sat within arms reach of where he'd been leaning against the pool's wall. "I don't know how I shall ever repay you....Faye-chan ♥."
Considering he was already pouring the sake and would have the two cups held out for her to take one before she could even get close enough to settle, though, it was clear he at least had an idea of where to start.

Weird, how no one had their mind on weapons this week.
Unless someone does -- weirdo -- and I just got jossed, lol.no subject
But at the moment? The only sword on his mind had nothing to do with his blades.
I am so, so sorry everyone"I never really did care much for guns," he admitted (and, really, considering how he tended to be the only one who ever got shot with them in the Soul Society, it was little wonder why), as he grinned over at Faye. Now that she had her sake, he switched his to his other hand so that the one that offered the cup out could now settle comfortably back on the wall, conveniently on the side where she'd joined him. "But I care even less for a beautiful woman mired deep in the throes of boredom. If I'd have known, Faye-chan, I'd have acted sooner, but they do say that good things come to those who wait, neh ♥?"

She offered a bright smile. "Like finding handsome men to entertain me." Compliments for everyone! It was a week for compliments!

Seriously, Faye just wanted to bottle up all this fawning attention and compliments this week, and save it all for gloomier days, because she was living for this.
"Even if I have to admit I'm pretty surprised to find you alone." Like, this week, Faye figured all her favorite eligible bachelors and bachelorettes would have a line.

In the day? In the week?
Yes.
Also, Shunsui was lazy, Faye. So, so lazy. He was working on it! Eventually...
"But I could say the very same to you, Faye-chan ♥," he added, taking a little bit of that ever-dimishing space between them for himself as well. "Though I won't complain! It's working out very, very well for me so far ♥!"

There was direct, and then there was Faye, who was just going to go ahead and scoot a lot closer, so she was tucked right up to his side.

His voice lowered quite a bit with it, as well.
"Better than this ♥?" he prompted in a low, soft rumble.
no subject
Better than this, however, would probably require an eventual change of venue.

But why rush the destination when the journey was such a wonderful delight? And she'd only just got there, besides. It was clear in Shunsui's kiss back that he was in no rush, enjoying the ease of all this after the literal battle he'd gone through to get to this point yesterday.
Besides, it had been far too long since he tempted fate (and the disapproval of the onsen staff) by seeing just how close to that line of impropriety he could dance before they started giving him looks.

But you know, she was willing to take her cues from him here and keep things slow and languid and nice for the moment. The attention was nice, the fact that this was a sure thing was nice, the fact that there probably wasn't an expectation of more in any kind of clingy-relationship sense was nice....
no subject
And he would not at all mind making the attempt, though, especially as those kisses deepened from light and languid to a little more fueled by that particular stirring of motivation within him. The hand against her cheek cupping it just a little bit more, his arm slipping from the wall to her shoulders to draw her in closer.
no subject
There was a bit of motivation going on for Faye, as well, and any deepening of the kiss just had her threading an arm up around Shunsui's neck to keep him close. (Like that was any sort of concern, really.)
no subject
Shunsui did pull back a little, though, with an easy, lopsided smile, give a soft hum of appreciate and ask, quietly, deeply, "Faye-chan?"
But not until after placing one more kiss on her jaw and ducking his head to move the next few to down that long neck that had been stretched up so perfectly to kiss him.

But there was the thrill of getting kicked out of places, and there was the thrill of actually getting to enjoy something and not rushing through it, so it was only almost a dare.
She did, however, lean up to press a kiss to the corner of that smile, just because she wanted to. And she was having a hard time keeping her hands and legs and lips to herself, anyway.

"Perhaps we really ought to move this party somewhere a little more...private after all ♥."
Before the staff finished their debate on whether or not it was counterintuitive to turn a hose on people in a big, warm bath.
no subject
"I would love to see your place," Faye decided, reaching up to trail her fingertips lightly along his jaw.
Was she just inviting herself over because she wanted to potentially see if there was anything worth walking off with? Yes, of course, but she'd also double-booked herself because this was an amazing week and things could get awkward if they went to hers. Practicality!

Even if the payoff would be worth it.

Because sometimes Shunsui bothered to remember that he could do that. Usually, it just wasn't worth the effort, but there were clearly exceptions.
"Hold on tight, then ♥," he suggested, and what a burden that was surely going to be for them, "and we'll be there in a jif ♥."
Via teleportation.
Like you do.
He didn't least remember to snag the haori discarded on the side before he did, though. The sake...meh, there was plenty more to be had at his apartment...
