Blackstone Foundry and Forge; Saturday [04/10].

Over the course of the evening, Shunsui had most certainly misplaced his hat, and although he knew he was supposed to be leaving by the back entrance out of the apartment, he had to sweep downstairs into the forge just to make sure it hadn't wound up down there while there was a little too much distraction regarding, ahem, swords to notice.

There was a bit of an...confusing moment, when he was pretty sure he'd just left Movie Class-chan snoring in bed, but when he opened the door to the stairs leading into the shop, he heard that there was already someone down there, hard at work banging on something. Yet there was still snoring coming from the bedroom; it was loud enough that he hadn't even noticed the banging downstairs until this moment. So with a curious caution, he made his way down to find a girl in a piece-meal set of armor, banging away at what looked like another piece of armor, stopping occasionally to inspect it before returning to work, and Shunsui started to feel like he knew what was going on here, and he chuckled. Albeit nervously.

"Oy! Movie Class-chaaaaaaaan~~~ ♥ ♥ ♥!" he called out. "You have a visitor~~~ ♥!"

And with that, he went down the stairs where the girl, having heard him, was glaring blue-eyed daggers at him before blowing a long strand of blonde hair (blonde was good! The odds of a blonde kid out of Shunsui was rare, right, especially with someone as darkly featured as Movie Class-chan?) out of her face. "There's always someone different when I show up here, isn't there?" she asked. "So now, who are you? And how come each and every one of them seems somehow worse than the half-orc?"

That definitely sounded like he was safe from having to claim parentage on this one, so Shunsui's chuckle this time was relieved, even with the apparent insult. "A friend of your mother's ♥," he offered, with a little sweeping bow and a tilt of his hat that was not there, though he did spot it over by the Crumbler. "I assume. Shunsui Kyōraku. And I would be absolutely delighted to hear that that name means absolutely nothing to you, duckling."

"Nope!" The girl nodded her assurance, flashing a bright smile. "Not a thing! Zards! Mother really does have some of the worst taste in men, though!"

...well, wasn't she just charming? "Shall I go wake her?" asked Shunsui. "Let her know you're here?"

"Nah," the girl waved a hand dismissively and hefted up the hammer. "Let her sleep. Stars only know how she's always in for a ride on these weekends....Say! Is that a sword you got there? Two swords? Those look pretty nifty! Can I see them?"

....

"I should really be on my way, duckling ♥," said Shunsui, was definitely not about to stick around anything that involved showing his swords to children. "I just came to fetch my hat, and I hope you have a lovely weekend with your mother, it's been very nice to meet you ♥."

"Oh, come on! I really know my way around a sword, I was taught by the best! Zephyr can do it!"

Yeah, Shunsui wasn't even going to touch that one, gave one more awkward chuckle as he finally got to his hat and was just...going to teleport outside the door and hope he could make it back to his place without any further encounters with other people's awkward children before he got there.

Zephyr, for her part, just sort of shrugged at the odd man and went back to her work, wondering how much she could manage to get done before her mother woke up or the inevitable parade of half-siblings showed up, because that was usually how these things went.

The Forge is open!

Eventually, Amaya did wake up, and she was right in the middle of pouring some coffee and yawning when she heard something going on downstairs. She blinked, taking a moment to run through the wide variety of various possibilities before reaching for her nice heavy cast iron pan and heading downstairs, pan in one hand, mug in the other.

It didn't take long before she lowered the pan.

"Ahhh, zards," she said. "It's you again."

"Good morning, Mother!" Zephyr called out brightly from where she was working at one of the anvils, giving the hammer a little bit of a wave. "It's about time you woke up!"

"Don't you have anything better to do than keep showing up here all the time?" Amaya asked, though, now that she knew what this weekend had in store for her, she set the pan down on a worktable and headed over to see what the girl was working on with a sip of her coffee. "Can't you go bother your father"--whoever that was!--"in some alternate dimension reality what's-it one of the days?"

"Visit him where?" Zephyr asked. "In Modesta?!?" She pulled a face. "No, thank you! I'd rather be stuck in the mid-Daventry-Llewdor deserts covered in bees! But look here, Mother!" She proudly held up what she was working on and held it over for Amaya to inspect. "What do you think?"
