It seemed that the invasion of the children had been a rather firm end to all the fun Faye had had last week, and she hadn't even enjoyed hers. Or, well, she eventually had a little, but it was really more pride in seeing Lucia take after her than enjoyment, at all.
Especially since it had meant Faye had to go buy a new phone.
Just as well, since today she wasn't feeling...great. She was pretty sure she knew what was up, since she'd had something that certainly felt similarly to this before, but she didn't want to be right, for once. So, today, she was planning on sitting (carefully) and googling her symptoms a bit on her new phone.
If she allowed herself to be distracted by choosing new ringtones and such, well, that was to be expected. She was in pain, she should be allowed to distract herself.
