Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

For as admittedly ridiculous as last week had been, this week had definitely not been. To the point where this morning Rey had gone across the hall to fix that... and Silver wasn't even home. She'd waited for a while, till she risked being late for training and she certainly wouldn't explain why she would have been late, so instead she ended up at the warehouse early and working off the frustration on the course.

She wasn't planning on explaining that either, but at least she was doing good at the course!

Was it bad that because of parenting, a long-term marriage, and his life being like it was that Anakin hadn't even noticed something was going on this week? His life was nothing but a series of interruptions.

That was probably bad, right?

"Rey?" he called, coming in.

"Yeah," she called, jumping down from the course because it felt like the thing to do.

Anakin grinned to see her. "Note how I'm not asking how last week was," he teased.

Congratulations, Anakin, you were now witness to just how hard Rey could blush!

"Sorry for canceling," she tried. Which did genuinely have mostly to do with not wanting things to be weird with her teacher but also she'd probably been breaking a door or something during that time.

Anakin laughed it off. "That week is...distracting," he said. "I understand."

"I'm making up training this week," Rey promised. She actually did feel bad that she got none of that done last week. Seriously, none.

Well, cardio and, um, flexibility? Or something?

"I'm happy to hear it," he said. "Is it time to adjust the course?"

Rey considered this, and said, "I'm sure there are things you could tweak, but I definitely haven't mastered this."

"I think you're making that jump over the quicksand far too easily," Anakin teased. "That can get fixed."

[thatwaslucky]

"That can get fixed," Rey allowed. Remember when she had a hard time with those? "The friends who've tried the course will not like that."

[sith_happened]

"Well, this is to train Jedi, so they'll just have to get dirty," Anakin decided.

[thatwaslucky]

"Oh, they have. Though I did too, that weekend I didn't have all my powers." Which had sucked!

"Well, it's also important to learn how to adapt," Anakin declared.

[thatwaslucky]

"Mostly I learned that quicksand feels disgusting when you fall in," she smiled.

[sith_happened]

"You're welcome," Anakin said airily.

[thatwaslucky]

"Do you know what else you're thinking of changing yet?" Rey wondered.

[sith_happened]

"Make the pathways skinnier and the climbs taller," Anakin said, glancing around. "Make the climate changes happen midway through."

So much more mud, Rey.

"Oh, that part will be obnoxious," Rey mused. Which wasn't a bad thing.

The pathways made sense. Some things from Luke's course were dicey there.

Anakin grinned like she's said something nice about his plan.

She had, sort of!

"What?" she asked, seeing that smile.

[sith_happened]

"Nothing," he said, "it's just nice to see you annoyed about how much harder I can make this."

Weird things made him happy, Rey.

"I didn't tell you not to," she pointed out. Like a good student!

"I wouldn't listen if you had," Anakin said, grinning back.

"Oh thank you," Rey teased. "When do you think you'll work on it?"

"In the dead of night where you won't catch me," Anakin teased. "Or maybe Wednesday?"
