Duke had a date tonight. And much like Octavia, he was spending all day thinking about it, bustling around the kitchen at the diner, getting in his staff's way as he 'supervised' their work and tried not to be nervous.
Why should he be nervous? He and Octavia were solid now! They'd had a big fight, sure, but that happened sometimes. They'd gotten through it, and were forged even stronger now. Like swords.
"If you stir that curry one more time, I'm going to stab you with a barbecue fork," Greg said.
"You remember that I'm your boss, right?" Duke asked.
"You cannot fire me in a way that matters."
Duke blinked and backed off, his hands in the air. "Okay, okay. I'll just . . . make the lassi, then."
