Steve woke up with a feeling of dread in the pit of his stomach, but he quickly shoved it aside as Matt Williams-related stress.
Then he got into the station where the phone lines were ringing off the hook with people convinced the world was going to end right this second.
"Ma'am. Ma'am," Steve said, "I don't think that wearing aluminum on your head would help anything, but if it will make you feel better, absolutely. Go for it."
Maybe he needed to call back to Honolulu and talk to Jerry? He knew about conspiracy theories and Steve had heard a lot of them today.
