Down Loon Drive- Tuesday morning
Well, the island was doing its thing again, and Sabine was more than a little irritated at the timing. This was her last week! She had a whole warehouse to pack up! People to say goodbye to! What she didn't want to be doing was have to fight off whatever was making ash rain from the sky.
Regardless, it was happening, so she and Lana decided to do a little patrol and check things out. At least armed dates made sense for this place.
"So this is creepy," Sabine said conversationally, catching sight of the mirrors lining the street.
[For the Sith!]

"Right. Let's try the obvious solution and see what happens." She lit her lightsaber and brought it down on one of the mirrors. It shattered gratifyingly...and then reformed.
"Ugh. Sometimes I hate this island."

Speaking of which...
"You're leaving directly after graduation, then?"

It was a gratifying thought, really, but she'd still prefer for them to rescue themselves.

Not that that was obvious.

Then blasted it with lightning. It reformed again almost immediately.

"Do you think using the island's phones will let us stay in touch? Duties permitting, of course," she asked a little awkwardly.

Then something slithered out of sight in the corner of her eye.
"Right." She stopped and stared at the mirror. "If there's something in there, you can come right out and fight us!" she dared it.

Did it matter that she knew what would probably happen? No.

At first there was nothing but her own reflection. Then, like a shadow, there was something behind it. Almost her, but not quite. As it got clearer, it got darker, too. Everything she hated about the Sith like Harkun was reflected in it - the coldness, the unchecked rage, the sheer psychopathy.
Lana gripped her lightsaber tightly and used her fear and nausea to strengthen herself. "Go away," she told it firmly. "I want nothing to do with you, and you can stop stalking us now."

She'd be lying if it didn't freak her out a little, even if she wasn't going to show it. It was Lana, but it wasn't, but it seemed to be?

"Thanks." She nodded to Sabine. "I officially hate these even more now."
