Amaya had gotten a few projects last week, which meant that Amaya had been in an exceptionally good mood as she worked on buffing up Iris's fancy Crystal Cross and working on a new sword for Zack, with the former nearly finished at this point so she could really buckle in start on the latter. She wanted it to be a good one, especially since he'd always appreciated her work so much in the past and was the entire reason she had a whole cache of materia to incubate in the first place to help give all of her weapons that little extra something.

So there had been a lot of sketches. Lots of ideas. Not all of them were great, she'd admit to that, and not all of them were a good fit for what she wanted to do, but were definitely going to be saved for later when she was finished with this project, but she thought she'd finally managed to focus in on one design and, well. Now it was time to get to work!

Sure, she loved making weapons even if they weren't for anything specific, but the whole thing felt different when there was a purpose and intent (and shiny gold coins!) behind the work.
