Astrid always felt there was a certain element of adventure involved in going to either of her jobs, but T&C especially, since there was rarely any predicting what she'd walk in to find Apu doing or setting up or celebrating.
So when she came in to find that he'd set everything up to promote all all sorts of things for grilling and picnics and things like that, she was almost a little disappointed.
"Oh, so, for Memorial Day Weekend, right?"
Which seemed not only obvious, but also a simple enough question, but for the look Apu had given Astrid for asking it, you'd think she'd not only just insulted his mother, but also his entire family for about eight generations back.
How dare she sully the good name of International Hamburger Day by insiuating it had anything to do with a different holiday entirely??
Summer was likely to get a very strongly worded 'anonymous' complaint about this when she got back from her trip.
Astrid, meanwhile, was just going to shake her head, settle in behind the counter with some drawings, and order sushi for lunch just to spite him.
