An entire pallet of pineapples was delivered today for some reason. Silver guessed for summery tropical drink reasons. He tried to make himself useful and cut one up but he was making a real hack job of it.

It was going to be embarrassing to google how to cut up a pineapple later on.

They were having a fruit-themed day, apparently.

Which was why when Rey got to the bar, she asked, "Can I hold something you don't mind disappearing?"

Wasn't even going to chance taking a seat yet.

That was an odd question, for sure. "Help yourself to a pineapple."

It'd been an odd day!

"Why all the pineapples?" she asked, before picking one up. And then looking deeply relieved when it stayed a pineapple.

"I guess it's for the summer," he said with a shrug. "Why did you want to touch something I didn't mind losing?"

"Everything I touched at work turned into grapes," she explained.

"So you're saying we're sleeping apart tonight?" he joked.

"No, because this is still a pineapple," Rey said proudly.

"I think you're going to have to touch a couple other things for me to be convinced," he said lightly, wiping pineapple juice off his hands with a towel before going to get a soda.

"Look," she said, placing both hands on the bar, without it turning into anything it wasn't supposed to be.

"That would have been kind of hilarious if the entire bar turned into grapes," he said, setting down her drink.

"It would be the second time that happened to me today and I can do without it," Rey admitted, taking the soda, and showing off how not grapes it was.

"Did you try eating any of the grapes?" he asked.

"No. Hopefully the grapes will turn back into what they originally were and I really don't want to know what would happen there," she admitted.

"That's a good point, it could have gotten messy," he said with a nod. "You've had an odd week."

"Wednesday was odd for everyone," Rey pointed out.

"True," he allowed. "But I think I got off easier than most. My shirt just kept coming off."

"And absolutely no one was bothered by that," Rey told him.

He laughed. "I'm sure someone out there would have been bothered by it. Not you, though."

"No, I have working eyes." And she wasn't shy anymore about that sort of thing with someone she'd been seeing naked for seven months. "My constant changing into a Princess was much more offensive."

"What's more offensive, the princess or the little rat thing you turned into?" he asked. He thought he knew the answer.

"The Princess. Tinis was apparently a piece of my soul, and he's amazing," she told him.

"I thought that would be your answer," he said with a laugh. "It's the correct answer too."

"Good. The Princess is bad," she grinned. "Am I allowed to touch you yet workout worrying about grapes?"

Silver pretended to think about that for a moment. "I suppose I'm no longer concerned about turning into a grape."

"I can promise you that I will never, ever turn you into a food product," she assured him, reaching for his hand.

"On purpose," he amended, taking her hand. "Don't tempt the island into making you do it by accident."

"On purpose," she said immediately. "I would be so mad if it happened on accident."

"I would be too," he said. "And I wouldn't even be able to express my anger because I'd be food."

Rey was absolutely going to start giggling at that. She had no choice.

"This is why I'm making sure it never happens."

"Thank god for that," he said with a smile. "In exchange I will up my shirtlessness."

"Oh? Does this mean you're just going to do away with shirts at home now?" She would not complain.

"I mean I would have done that before if you asked," he joked.

"I made a terrible mistake I'm not asking," Rey teased. "Is this both our apartments, or just one?"

"Both, definitely," he said. "I treat it like one big apartment anyway."

"One apartment that takes up one floor of the building and has double everything."

She treated it as that too.

"We really lucked out with that," he said. "Could you imagine if we had to use stairs to get to each other? The worst."

"It would have been terrible," she said, running her thumb along the side of his hand. "Now at worst we have two doors to deal with."

It did occur to Rey that it was probably a waste even dealing with two doors, but she needed some time with that.

"And doors aren't so hard." Usually. So long as nobody was a horse. "I've heard some couples live in separate buildings. Insane."

"I don't know how they do it," Rey said, shaking her head. "It's so much better knowing I can just cross a hall."
