Steve got back from Danny's Father's Day trip to Honolulu (that Steve had tagged along on so he could visit his dad's gravesite) with five minutes to spare before being late for work. So he was jetlagged (portal-lagged?) and slightly cranky from not getting his morning swim.
"We're going for a morning swim!"
A bunch of helmeted Troopers turned in unison to judge the hell out of Steve.
"I'm going on a morning swim," Steve amended. "You can stay here and field calls from the Bee Lady."
Oh, look, a bunch of volunteers to swim! How weird!
The Trooper Station was open and ready to assist you. Please don't be the Bee Lady.
