Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

So Silver was a parrot. This was unexpected, but Rey was good at rolling with things by now, so she could get through what was hopefully just maybe a day or two. Well, it'd been more than a day, so maybe three days, tops.

She brought him with her to the warehouse today, since it was probably a cool place to be when you suddenly had wings, though she was going to have to talk to the woodchucks about not throwing anything at anyone who flew.

"You did say you wanted to see me train more," she told him, letting him find somewhere to perch.

"It did not go better this week," Anakin grumbled as he came into the warehouse.

"The important thing is you got through it."

Rey was precious, as a person.

[sith_happened]

Anakin snorted. "Learning and growing?" he said.

Anakin was a terrible loser.

[thatwaslucky]

"Exactly! You were using it to learn weaknesses, right?" she said.

[sith_happened]

There was a long pause. "...yes."

[thatwaslucky]

He had told her that part, at least.

"So now you're probably better at it," she said.

[sith_happened]

"Yes," Anakin said. "Today there were roller skates, which don't even exist in my universe probably, so I have learned I need to learn how to do that."

"Wait. Aren't those the shoes with wheels?"

That was diabolical.

[sith_happened]

"They are," Anakin confirmed. "Rogers and Stark are getting mean."

[thatwaslucky]

"It's possible they think you're all really up for the challenge?" Rey asked, and then added, "Please never make me train in those."

[sith_happened]

"I will never make you train in those," Anakin promised. "They are ridiculous."

[thatwaslucky]

"Thank you. Especially today," she said.

She had to look cool in front of the bird boyfriend.

Well, obviously.

"Why today?" he asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"John's a parrot," she said, nodding up to where he was hanging out on one of the supports.

[sith_happened]

Anakin snorted. "That's a bit on the nose. Sorry, John."

[thatwaslucky]

"Is it?" Her knowledge of pirates had either come from Silver himself or one of the really bad Johnny Depp movies.

"Christopher went through a pirate phase," Anakin said, making a face. "In cartoons, at least, they always have a parrot."

[thatwaslucky]

"Huh. There's a definite lack of parrots in his stories," she said.

[sith_happened]

"You should ask him more parrot-related questions, clearly," Anakin teased.

[thatwaslucky]

"I am definitely going to ask him about it when he turns back," Rey told him. "Which is hopefully soon. And at home."

[sith_happened]

"Might not be a bad ideas to carry around some sweatpants," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"I've mostly been keeping him at home," she admitted. "I'm not sure about the prosthetic when he turns back and don't want to put him in an even worse situation."

[sith_happened]

"As some who had a prosthetic for a while, thank you for thinking of that," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"Of course," she said with a shrug. "I don't know how I wouldn't, really."

Anakin smiled. "That's because you're a good person."
