The Devil's Nest, Friday Night

Tiny had been trying to hire more musicians. Luckily, Lucifer had caught him in the act this time. A battle of words had resulted - most of them Lucifer's, Tiny being Tiny - and in the end, a compromise was reached.

Which would explain the small indie rock band standing where the piano usually was. And the small but not insignificant audience of small indie rock band fans surrounding them. And why Lucifer was on stage with a microphone, singing.

It even explained why, in some roundabout fashion, Lucifer broke up the band's set of tasteful rock classics by sitting down for a bloody Miley Cyrus cover.

It was irritating, the way she was growing up to be not half bad.

"Love you now, but not tomorrow
Wrong to steal, but not to borrow
Pull you in, but don't you get too close...
"
