The Devil's Nest [Thursday, all day]

Eric had been sleeping in the coffin in his office in order to properly terrify oversee the renovations being conducted at the Devil's Nest since the entire hole...incident...thing. Lucifer's money was being put to good use, albeit through Eric's design aesthetic: heavy timbers, wooden beams on the ceiling, poorly lit corners for bad decision making--a Viking mead hall meets the 21st Century.

Plus an expanded area for throwing axes. And a tiiiny, off in the corner space for the piano he'd told Pam to procure but wasn't here yet. If someone needed to play, the old piano was there, out of tune and missing a couple of keys.

Tiny had been putting away the new stock of mead, aquavit, and rum when he bounced off of nothing heading out the door and landed on his rear.

Eric burst out laughing. "Do it again," he demanded. Tiny, looking surly, tried going outside again. Same result.

That explained the new sign behind the bar: "IF YOU GET STUCK HERE, YOU STILL NEED TO BUY A DRINK. NO ALCOHOL IF YOU ARE UNDER 21."

Eric was making the best of the situation!

Well it was a good thing Rey turned 21 yesterday, because look who was randomly appearing in the bar.

"Again?"

"Maybe it missed you?" Eric offered.

"That would be very strange," she noted.

"This entire island is strange," Eric said. "Tiny called out due to hole for two weeks. How do I put that on a timecard?"

"You could have your drink today," Stark offered. "If you wanted. Or wait until you're in a bar on purpose instead of in a bar because the island is being the island. Again."

"We can do today," Rey said, smiling. "Not that I'm sure what to get."

"This is strawberry," Stark said, holding up his own glass. "You could try that?"

At least Rosa knew now that it was definitely not the stairs! Because at this point, she really was wondering if that might be the case and took up the suggestion of just rapelling out one of the windows of the apartment, to the very expected results.

Sans coffee this time, because, well, Tightpants might be able to rapel with coffee, but Rosa wasn't going to risk it.

...the lack of coffee, though, seemed as good a reason as any to ignore the time on the clock and consider the booze instead.

Eric gave her a little nod. "What can Tiny get you?"

Rosa met the little nod with a small lift of her chin. "Whiskey's fine.

"You can send the island my bill," she added, when she saw the sign.

Because it sure as hell wasn't her idea to get stuck here.

Steve was starting to wonder if the Portalocity office was broken, because he walked out and ended up...here.

"Well, shoot," he said, pulling down the cowl from his Captain America uniform.

"If you order milk, I will toss you out," Eric said, despite the part where no one could leave.

"I'm not going to order milk at a bar," Steve said, making a face at him. He turned to Tiny. "Could I have an ice water, please?"

"Oh." Stark wasn't going to bother trying the door. "This again."

He just wanted to spend all his time outdoors. Why was the island making that so difficult?

Eric gave him a lazy wave. "What are you drinking?"

"Something that tastes like outside?" Stark shrugged, glancing at the door and then back at Eric. "I don't know."

Lucille had heard on the radio about this happening, but had so far avoided it herself. Now she found herself in Devil's Nest instead of outside her door, and she had really wanted to go for a walk!

Resigning to the situation she took a seat behind the piano. The Devil didn't seem to be around, so she felt she could take the liberty to do so. She played an old favourite.

"Not bad for a broken piano," Eric praised.

"I have to make do," Lucille said, looking at the keys rather than Eric.

"Oh, good," Ender, teetotaller extraordinaire, sighed. He'd been in his hotel room a second ago.

Suppose this was going to happen eventually.

"I don't suppose you serve milk?"

"Do we look like an ice cream store?" Eric replied. "Drink something like a grownup."

Ender smiled blandly at him. "Apple juice, then," he said.

On Monday Sam had suffered the indignity of that indecent shop. And now, when minding his own Muppety business, he found himself in a bar?

"Unacceptable!"

Oh look, this door sent him flying backward with an indignant squawk and plenty of wing flapping just like the one on Monday.

No, Eric had not met a Muppet aside from Robin a million years back.
