If anyone asked why Rosa kept leaving the office to go upstairs, sometimes returning with something like a new cup of coffee or the dog, sometimes taking things up, like an emptied Tupperware or the dog, she would claim either restlessness or a new exercise routine, or maybe some other option made up on the spot, but it would have absolutely nothing to do with just enjoying the fact that, when she went downstairs, she wound up downstairs, no matter how many times she did it.

It was the little things, you know? And, around here, it was just nice to be sure that some weirdness was worked out of the system for a while.
