Wanda had found out that there were specialty websites that sold big hats that would fit perfectly on Jeff's head, so of course she had gone a little nuts getting a variety of them. Now she had to see how they looked. She was standing outside the store, waving her hands around as she used her magic to see how they suited the twelve foot skeleton.

The Santa hat was pretty cute, and would definitely need to be saved if Wanda decided to keep Jeff around through the holidays.

"...is this also a Halloween tradition?" They did not have those goose statiesthat you dress up got the holidays back home. Which, you know, was a damn crime.

"The skeleton or the hats?" Wanda asked as she lifted up a plastic viking helmet to put on Jeff's head.

"Both?" So, so many questions.

[scarlet_chaos]

"The skeleton was pretty popular from what I read." Because she had been blipped out of existence when the memes were really happening, unfortunately. "But the hats are just me."

"Right," Din said, tilting his head at the Viking helmet for a moment longer. "This one is more intimidating than the red sack one."

Santa would be sad to hear that he didn't inspire fear.

"The red sack one is for Christmas," Wanda said. "Haven't done your research on Santa Claus yet, huh?"

Oh god imagine little Grogu sitting on Santa's lap awwwwwwwwwwww.

"Is that another holiday?" Look, there were already too many here!

"Oh yeah," she said. "Big with kids. They get presents and everything."

"No costumes, right?" Because he'd heard things.

[scarlet_chaos]

"Costumes are optional," Wanda said. "But a lot of people wear the Santa hats for fun."

She tried to imagine what Din would look like with a Santa hat over his helmet. The decided she should get him one.

He was going to end up decked out in that stuff, huh?

"Did you decide in a costume for the kid before this next holidays starts?" So he could vet it in case Grogu turned into a pumpkin or something.

"I'm waffling between two," she said. "Do you know what a hot dog or a werewolf is?"

"Hotdog yes, werewolf no."

Oh please make Grogu a shirtless, brooding loner in the corner.

And today's not-a-greeting was... "That is definitely too early."

Ah yes, extremely mild and muted judging of the Santa hat, as Bucky came down the street.

"I'm just seeing how it fits," Wanda said. "Have you seen how much one of these skeletons cost? I should keep him around to get my money's worth."

Not that she had paid for it, but still.

"None of the prices of anything in this time make any damn sense," Bucky informed her, looking up at Jeff. "And didn't you say this just showed up, anyway?"

"I mean, it did," she said, waving her hand to put a cowboy hat on Jeff's head this time. "...but I also bought a lot of these hats with my own money."

It wasn't like she had anything else to spend it on at the moment.

"You did?"

Well, now his attention was turning a little more towards the hats.

"Yeah," Wanda said, laughing. "I know, I clearly need a hobby."

Bucky shook his head. "No, it's..."

He trailed off for a second. Then shrugged a little. "It's sweet, I guess."

Like Jesse talking to plants.

"Thanks," she said with a small smile. "That sounds a lot better than 'sad and weird'."

"How have you been?" Wanda asked, knowing she would probably get a shrug and a 'fine' in return.

And like clockwork, there was the shrug.

And then the, "Fine." Because that was just his way. His hands pushed a little further into his pockets. "Heard you had a guest."

"I did. Steve and I had the same guest, actually," Wanda said. "Only from different timelines. It wasn't as awkward as you would think it would be."

Wait, so things weren't automatically awkward around Steve just in general? That was just Bucky?

"Yeah, I heard. Thor, right?"

He was... vaguely aware, from digging into the Avengers in the past.

"Yeah. He's a good guy. And possibly one of the few who can handle this nexus of the multiverse without asking questions," Wanda said. "Oh! And he brought gifts for you and Steve."

That were currently still making her apartment smell like a brewery.

"I know regular alcohol doesn't really do anything for you guys, so he brought some ale from Asgard. It works on Steve, so I figured it'd be nice for you to have next time the island makes you deal with something really ridiculous."
