JGoB, Friday afternoon
Class had been uneventful, as it tended to be, and Stark had wandered over to the bakery afterwards because that seemed like a good idea. The bakery always seemed like a good idea to Stark.
There was a special on Boston Cream Pies today, which he was looking at in the case curiously.
"It's a cake," he said, looking at the baker who had come up front.
"Yeah," she agreed. "But it's called Boston Cream Pie."
"But it's not a pie, it's a cake."
"I didn't name it, man, but try a slice. Pretty sure you'll like it."
The staff here knew him well enough to know he liked pretty much anything they sold. Everything they sold, really.
So Stark took his slice of cake that was inexplicably being called pie to an empty table and sat down to try it. He also pulled out his phone to try and look up some information about Boston. It couldn't hurt to know a little about the city. And maybe he could find something his companion on the trip might enjoy seeing.
[trying to manifest a more pleasant workday today but the usual disclaimers about how I may be swarmed by students and/or staff until 3:30 Eastern apply]

“Good afternoon,” she nodded to Stark as she got her muffin and made her way over to a nearby table.

"Good afternoon," Stark echoed with a nod of his own, looking at her a little curiously. There were a few new people on the island. He assumed she was one of them
and that they hadn't overlapped before but who can remember back that far.no subject
I think they might have been in Fandom at the same time originally, “I run the Photo Hut,”but honestly have no idea if they ever interacted
