The Devil's Nest, Tuesday Night

The week in the Bahamas had done them some good. The camping… well, the camping still wasn't Lucifer's thing, but that hadn't been the point, had it?

And then he returned to the Nest to find that piano sitting there.

"That bloodless Viking bastard," he growled. "Right. That does it. I'm fixing this!"

He'd spent a portion of last week talking to Octavia about the serious reasons behind why he was doing this. He was going to put off doing anything with those revelations for some other night, when he wasn't spending a bar shift on the phone shouting at people to come and bring in a real piano right bloody now.

Baby steps.

[[ no ocd mostly because I don't want to look at gifs from the last season of this show. open! though migraine-y! ]]

It had been another quick trip to the island to get supplies for Billy. On his way back from a handwavey stop at T&C he passed by the bar and figured might as well stop in. He could use a drink or two after the aggravation of trying to get his boat fixed up. And so here was the newest island resident, wandering into the bar that was surprisingly empty for that time of day, and taking a seat at the bar, glancing at Lucifer and the rather animated conversation he was having.

Billy shook his head. "Can't find good help anywhere these days... even for important piano related needs."

"Ah... no. Unfortunately, anyone I would know would be quite a ways away from here." Like another country away, so that would be a no.

Billy wasn't going to ask who Eric was. It really didn't concern him after all.

"Town's pretty deserted. Is it usually this... (he was going to say 'dead' but stopped himself) quiet? Place seemed small and quiet when I arrived but this is pretty dang quite" he said gesturing around the practically empty bar.

Billy nodded. "So, what specials you got? Anything you recommend for the temporary island resident?"

"Sure" Billy said with a nod. He watched Lucifer for a few minutes before venturing a question. "So, is there usually a piano here or is this something new you are trying to set up?"

"Yeah that... that is not acceptable" Billy said with a nod. "If you can't have a Sauter at least you are in pretty bad shape."

"Not that I know best and I'm just the guy passing through town...." Billy said with a slight shrug. "But maybe it would be best to give things a chance to cool down? Then try again with a different approach?"

"Right. And that's a bad thing because....?" Billy asked simply.

Was Eric snickering in his office? Of course not. He was a professional.

A petty, petty professional.

"You're wrong!" Eric yelled back.

Should two immortal beings have better things to do than this? Without a doubt. But this was fun, too.

"Enjoy the piano!"

"Well, that was excessive," Eric commented dryly.
