Steve and Danny were back from their trip to Honolulu, tanned and not at all relaxed thanks to someone trying to weaponize bees to spread bird flu. Danny was halfway through a truly inspired rant about what would happen if the Bee Lady found out about such flagrant bee abuse when he turned into a cat and dropped his favorite coffee mug in mid-transformation.
So now Steve was having an impromptu Take Your Cat (But Not Really) to Work Day.
"Told you cats were awesome," he told Danny, who deliberately padded across Steve's desk and then pushed his coffee cup off the edge.
"Asshole," Steve laughed.
The station was open, if not especially helpful.
