Magpie Emporium (formerly Android's Dungeon), Thursday (10/21)

... well.

Of all the many impulse decisions Steph Gingrich had ever made in her life, taking over the management of the game store on a crazy island that seemed to be some kind of 5-million way intersection between timelines and realities, like a concept out of one of the more sci-fi leaning fantasy worlds she'd come up with, was... probably the most her thing ever, to be honest. But it also had no competition whatsoever for the title of Steph's Wildest Split-Second Choices.

Apparently she was going to be sticking around for a while, which was fine. She'd found out about Portalocity yesterday, which made it an easy choice because why just travel the world, singular, when she could travel worlds, infinitely multiple, in way less time? She still had to ICly figure out a place to live (ideally where she had room for her drums), but the office here had a couch if she didn't feel like sleeping in the van.

So here she was, putting up handmade signs on parchment (not real parchment, just paper she'd fake-aged with tea) that read:

"The Android's Dungeon is now the MAGPIE EMPORIUM!
Still Fandom's one-stop shop for all your geeky needs.
(Special orders available upon request!)

Ethan was going to get so many pictures once the new sign outside was installed. This was kind of a shoutout to him, after all.

The shop was open for business as usual, its bemused but eager new manager darting around from place to place with a notebook in hand to jot down ideas and sketch out new floor plans. There was the gaming area to redesign, reorganizing store orders to make the gaming stuff top priority, figuring out how to repurpose shelves and displays... yeah, Steph was in full creative whirlwind mode.

Oh, and importantly, she had to make sure there was a nice spot cleared out at the front desk so she could set up her laptop, because the absolute second the store closed at 10 tonight and she flipped that Open sign on the door around, she was going to park herself in front of her laptop, log in to Twitch, and not move for the next four or five hours. The brand-new campaign of her favorite D&D stream (the one with the nerdy-ass voice actors) was starting tonight and there was no way in hell Steph was going to miss it for anything. (She was playing catch-up on the second campaign now because of her whole two-year time jump. Wild.)

Seriously, she had snacks stockpiled and everything. In case you wondered whether the new manager knew her products.

[OOC: ... yeah so I was going to wait on this until next week and then I realized I had to do it today. Bring on the new Campaign 3 bunch of idiots, Critical Role, I'm ready! I still miss the Mighty Nein though. Anyway, the store is open, and as usual SP is definitely a thing.]
