Diaz & Ass.; Wednesday [10/27].
Since Rosa's 'trap' included a live animal that she would pretty much burn down the entire island for if anyone so much as laid a single finger of harm on her, she was definitely planning on heading up to the school for reconnisance on the Heist, but, for now, she was at least pretending to be taking care of some other business at her office. That meant maybe answering a few email, but mostly, it meant tapping into the security cams she had set up all around the teachers' offices to keep an eye on thing, going over some of the footage from yesterday, and just generally plotting for ways to make it more interesting throughout the week.
There wasn't a lot going on yet, which meant that some of those emails were getting some attention, and leaving her to wonder if she should accept a job this weekend that would require her to do some Halloween-related detective work. It was appealing, but that meant missing out on Homecoming, and, even though she'd never in a million years admit this outloud, she didn't know how she felt about that.
So it was a thoughtfully frowning Rosa pouring over hours and hours of empty footage and making quick work of draining her coffee pot at the desk today.
Diaz & Ass. is open!

What? He loved the Look Rosa made at things like that!

But, also, a question like that made her feel not in the least bit bad about answering it with, "I'm not sure I'm even going to the homecoming dance."
Maybe a little bad. But the fact that she felt a little bad made her feel adamant about not actually feeling bad.

She took a sip from her mug.
"And I'm pretty sure I can survive not spending the whole night trying to find a sheep that probably didn't even exist."
But once she said that, another thought struck her. "What are you planning on doing?" she said, lifting her chin with the question. "That could tilt the scales a little."

He shrugged. "I'll go to the party unless something better shows up. Not like there's a lot to do around here." And he'd want to keep an eye on the kids, but hush.

"I was Bo Peep," Rosa informed him, not waiting for him to decide if he did, in fact, want that information or not. "And...so was Kitty. So...that was interesting. And you're really not exactly making a good case for me staying here, you know."

"Does this detective wear tight pants?"
Said the woman who clearly had no room to say anything about anyone else's weirdly specific fetishes.

"Leather," she decided, "and I'm in."
She was a woman of simple motivations, really.
"Just let me email these guys," she quirked her chin toward her computer before shifting to take to the keyboard, "with a recommendation for the shittiest detective I know to refer to instead, so that way, when they do a bad job, I'll still look better for future jobs."

Oh, god, they were totally doing a couples costume, weren't they?
no subject
"Oh, you definitely will," she vowed.
Especially once she figured it out.

"Sounds like a plan, then." he grinned. "I'll even wash the suit."
