This will surely go well!

Belle was still an ogre. Well, Belle looked like an ogre even if she didn't feel like one. She was still herself on the inside. She just had to keep telling herself that.

Turning into an ogre had happened last night at a school event. She was hoping that attending another school event might reverse the transformation. She was hoping very hard indeed.

Somehow, 🎵 ~Ingrid and a Tangled Ball of Headphone Wires Slowly Getting Bigger in the Mooorn~ing~ 🎵 didn't quite have the same ring to it, did it? But that was, alas, what they were stuck with, the former with the latter tucked under her arm as they headed down to the brunch.

"Can you even eat real food right now?" Astrid asked, still a little startled hearing her mother's huskier voice coming out of her mouth instead of her own.

She thought she felt Troy shrug.

Guess they'd find out.

Goose still had gills and had still been morphed into the underwater creature he transformed into, which was the longest that he’d ever been transformed.

Well it wasn’t his bio defences that was the cause this time though so that was something.

This was Liz’s second time as a zombie, even though she still seemed to be more or less herself but she was still in her dress from yesterday so it was making for an interesting appearance.

She also realised this was the first Fandom weirdness for her since she had been back on the island, she was actually surprised it had taken this long.

"So....it got you, too, huh?"

Please don't mind the giant horned dude with the large wingspan and dark glowing empty eyes who seemed to be leaking some sort of black goo every now and again at random, Liz.

Gladio was probably not in the best state to introduce himself in his current daemon form ~~despite the lack of icons~~, but he was pretty sure this was the girl Prompto had been chatting up at the dance and his kissing booth all weekend.

That dress was kinda hard to miss.

Even with everything else.

After knowing Hellboy and everything she’d seen with the BPRD, Liz didn't even react to Gladio’s current appearance, which she didn’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

“I suppose it was only a matter of time,” Liz said with a small smile, “even though last time I got bit by actual zombies so this one was at least less painful,”

"And, hey," Gladio offered. "Green's a good color on you!

"I don't think we've met, though. I'm Gladio." He offered out a hand, the strange black veins on his muscles bulging and throbbing almost erratically, as some strange blackness seemed to drip from his fingers, and so he pulled it back. "Maybe we'll skip the handshake this time. Sorry. I don't usually have all of..." The black goo flicked off as he gestured a little, the black fire of his eyes seemed to swell, "this going on...

"Guess Prompto was right to warn us about this Halloween stuff..."

You know, just to wedge that name into the conversation for no reason...

“I’m Liz,” she offered back with a slight wave instead, “I suppose I really should have expected something like this …I’ve never really had a normal Halloween,” even usually there were a lot more ghosts and demonic possessions then turning into monsters.

“You know Prompto?” she tried to keep it casual but this was all a bit new for Liz so she wasn’t succeeding very well.

Oh look at that Zombies could apparently blush …which was making an interesting colour aesthetic right now.

Gladio grinned. "Oh, yeah," he said, pulling off nice and casual much better. Effortlessly, really. "We work together. Wait."

He narrowed his eyes in thought for a moment, lifting a very drippy finger. "So you're Liz, huh?"

“Oh …um…” Liz stared back with a slight ‘deer in the headlights’ expression and wow if she was any redder she’d probably be a demon instead of a Zombie.

“I mean um…yeah I am, Prompto he…we work at the Photo Hut,” she stammered.

Liz you owned the Photo Hut. Prompto worked for you.

"Yeah," Gladio mused, managing to keep his amusement tampered down to a mild level, though he was feeling it way more than that. "I remember he was pretty stoked about that gig. Said you seemed pretty cool.

"And, of course, I saw that cute pic of you two on Instagram last night..."

Ohhhhh, Prompto was going to kill him!

Ha! Gladio would actually like to see him try!

It would be worth it, though, if this would finally help to get that guy off his moping about Yang bullshit.

Granted, it could just lead to moping about Liz bullshit. Or worse, moping about Yang and Liz bullshit...

But that was a risk he was willing to take!

Yes Liz was still blushing that deep shade of crimson.

“He’s …I …he’s really great,” she said at last with a fond smile and then was mortified that she’d just that to someone she didn’t know, who knew Prompto.

“Oh you …um…you saw the photo?” yes Liz that’s what happened when you uploaded to Instagram other people do see the photos.

"Yeah," said Gladio, who was feeling like maybe he should take it a little easier for Liz's sake now, but, damn, if that wasn't kind of adorable. Even as a zombie. "You two looked like you were having a lot of fun, anyway. Granted, he posts to that thing so much, I can barely keep up, but, you know...some things just stick out."

“It was…I haven’t been to a homecoming in over ten years,” she said with a small smile. “It…I really liked spending time with him,” she finally allowed, still rather awkwardly though since this was Liz.

“I didn’t think you could have so many photos in one place,” Liz admitted, “I only started my Instagram the other day and most of mine are of my cat,” Liz you didn’t really have to keep sharing that tidbit of information, she smiled again, “we follow each other on Instagram now,”

Everyone likes coffee too, right?

Jaina hadn't had any candy. So she'd just be over here, stirring her coffee, and just... watching.

Wow, Fandom.

Jo was hoping that no one was going to notice that she was nearly a stone heavier than normal and she was trying to discretely eat without looking like she was going to burst into tears every time she took a bite. Even though she was pretty miserable about the whole thing. The fact that she was still in her expensive dress from yesterday just drove to home what she had been like as this Jo - the Jo who bragged and boasted and threw her wealth around to try to get people to like her and instead just made her more detestable every time she did.

Alara hadn’t transformed last night so she’d gotten some food and was watching what was going on around her.

Last night, all of the chocobros had turned into twisted daemon versions of themselves, Gladio included, and while the other two were apparently going to just stay in the apartment and wring their hands over it (andlot to process, it didn't seem like as big a deal as they were making it out to be. After all, he wasn't really feeling particularly daemonic, and just the fact that he could even be out and about in the sunlight meant these were mostly just cosmetic changes, right?

Like, okay, so he could understand why it might freak them out a little, especially Prompto, considering....

...but still!

So there he was, all wickedly glowing eyes and leaking black ichor, horned and winged and filling his plate and finding a seat where hopefully the wings wouldn't get in the way too much.

And if having wings meant having to be shirtless right now? Then O H W E L L.

Happy Halloween!! Enjoy the last day before everything turns to freaking Christmas.

It's just the midway point of The Nightmare Before Christmas season it's fine.
