Turtle & Canary; Monday [11/22].

Despite the long list of complaints that pretty much awaited her the moment she stepped foot into Turtle & Canary again from Apu, Astrid had done a fine job of keeping up the management duties in Summer's absense, but Summer had to admit, she was kind of feeling glad to get back into the swing of it, and Astrid really didn't seem to care one way or the other, but was grateful for the experience. She'd done a great job with making sure everything was well-stocked and ready for Thanksgiving, she'd decorated the place nicely for it, too, which just left Summer with not a lot to do except get back in on her old inventory and ordering rounds and maybe take a look at the budget and see if Shunsui had been taking out more for his personal drinking habits while she was gone or not.

She was pleasantly surprised and almost a little proud to discover that he actually had not. Which wasn't to say he didn't dip into the stores budget for his sake at all, of course, but it was still reasonably in line with how it had been when she left. Good for him.

And look at her, being a good manager by even sparing some time to listen to Apu go off on some new idea of starting a new country called Turtlecanaristan. As someone who had been a God-Empress of a planetoid before, she had to admit, he had some good ideas for governing this tiny little retail replublic, but she did think that immediately putting both Shunsui and Astrid up for trial for treason against best retail practices was a little much right off the bat.

So, Mondays have pretty much become synonymous with one task Billy had always hated- shopping. But he had to admit that without the insanity of the crowds and all, it was much easier and almost enjoyable to it here on the island.

As he walked into the shop and looked around, giving a slight nod to Apu, he smiled as he saw Summer.

"Ah, this is where you were running off to this morning" he said with a smirk.

And no he was not stalking! When you are up early and need a smoke you see people. It was just a thing that happened!

"Ah yeah, recovered just fine" he said with a smirk. "Takes a lot to get me knocked out for any length of time. I mean I was living in Cancun for the last five years after all" he added with a chuckle.

Billy... no... don't offer anything remotely resembling a challenge when it came to drinking... it would only end badly.

"Just here to do some shopping" he said being a little overdramatic with the eye roll. "Some basic essentials and what not. But also wanted to see if this place carried any clothes and what not. I so do not have the right clothes for actual winter weather!"

"Look forward to seeing what you can do" Billy said with a confident smirk. He glanced down the aisle and nodded. "Yeah don't need anything fancy, just the basics to make sure I don't freeze to death. Ya know, delicate tropical flower that I am" he said with a laugh.

Billy glanced over his shoulder in the direction of the scoff and then shook his head.

"So long as there's more than tank tops, t-shirts, and shorts I will consider it an successful wardrobe upgrade!"

He considered Summer for a moment, contemplating whether he should as or not, finally decided to go ahead.

"So, anything special going on for the Holidays? Place seems a bit remote to get a lot of people coming in for holiday travel and all. Any island traditions I need to know about or does everyone just celebrate Turkey day on their own?"
