JGoB - Saturday Morning
It had been an interesting week and a bit. First she had completely broken down in front of Prompto and told him everything (and had broken down in front of his friend but Liz was trying not to focus so much on that so much).
Even though she had been nervous about going home and seeing everyone after Pittsburg, she had been glad that Prompto had encouraged her to go and had gone with her. She knew it was probably way too soon in their … well … she supposed it was a relationship, for her to take him back home to visit her family but the visit had actually gone rather well all things considering, at least she thought it did hopefully Prompto hadn't gone home and then had a nervous breakdown, she didn't want to have to explain that to his friends and give them more cause to hate her. Even with Abe revealing all of Prompto’s private details about his life and Helboy being Hellboy to begin with but she was pretty sure he considered Prompto a close friend now, he had even offered to give him one of his cats, which she had not been expecting when she initially asked Prompto to go home with her.
It had been nice to see everyone and even the other agents who were not Hellboy and Abe, they had welcomed her back, no one had judged her or said that she shouldn’t have been back … in a way it was like she had never left.
Like it had been before Pittsburg. She had missed Hellboy and Abe’s banter and the way she had fallen back in that routine of the three of them …
She didn’t want to go back to the BPRD as an Agent, she knew that, she liked being with Prompto in Fandom and running the Photo Hut but she didn’t think she was as afraid to return home now as she had been.
Last week she had been a sobbing mess at the Perk, this week well … she was feeling more hopeful that maybe things were going to be okay.
So now she was treating herself to a mint chocolate cake and feeling more optimistic than she had been for a long while.

So she was snapping some pictures with her phone of some of the more ornate and interesting ones to consider later, until the staff got annoyed with her for not buying anything, finally bought a cupcake, fell into a slight discussion with the person at the register about poke cakes and whether or not she should be allowed to even consider that a jello creation, and then figured she'd head back out to run some more errands.
Then stopped when she turned and blinked at the realization that anyone else was even there.
"Man," she stated, obviously having no issue with just coming out and saying it, "the portals have been busy. I have no idea who you are, either."

And even during, if you counted that month in the apocalypse when she was replaced with a robot version of herself!
"Honestly, I thought this last space thing was going to take way longer than it did."
There was only the briefest of pauses and not even the remote suggestion of a change of subject before she just forged on ahead to ask quite possibly the most important question in this entire exchange:
"Sooooo....do you party?"
If the Christmas RagerTM was next weekend, she was so already late on getting that word-of-mouth ball rolling, but she intended to make up for it!

Then she considered Summer’s question.
“Well I haven’t really been to many parties,” she admitted, who was still rather shy and introverted when it came down to it, “I think the one Eliot and Margo hosted last month was the first one I’ve been to in quite a few years,”
Liz was really not the person to ask about parties, sorry Summer.

Clearly, Liz, there were more important things to talk about here!
"And, ohmygod," Summer gushed, "I remember that party; I totally did a detour from the space rebellion to crash it, and it was, like, totally worth it. Eliot really knows his booze. But, hey! If you liked that party," Summer, she'd literally said it was the only party she'd even been to in years, but okay, "you should definitey check out the Ugly Christmas Sweater RagerTM me and my friends do every year."
It had literally been one year.
"You don't even need an Ugly Christmas sweater, although, fair warning, anyone without one is likely to get Glitter-Cannoned."

“Oh I do have an Ugly Christmas Sweater,” she assured her, she loved all kinds of sweaters so she did have an Ugly Christmas one.
“I’m sure I can stop by,” she would even remember to knock on the door this time, so that was going to be progress for her, “when is it going to be?” she asked.

If, you know, assaulting strangers in pastry shops could be considered 'organic and natural,' but not only did it hopefully open the door to new social circles that may yet be untapped, but it also had the chance of being picked up on radio, so, you know, she was just being efficient.
"Probably next Friday," she said, with a firm, important nod, "although that's still up in the air, but, believe me, we're definitely going to keep everyone posted, especially since hte location is still a bit TBA. But it's probably going to be Annie and Diego's apartment this time around."
As if everyone already clearly knew Annie and Diego.
"So, like, be sure to tell all your friends, because, you know, the more, the merrier and all that, and there will definitely be jello shots."
Said with emphasis to make them sound like a Very Big Deal, because they were, but Liz was new (ish) and might not know that yet, and, you know, how embarrassing would that be?

Liz it was bad when the socially awkward, genetically engineered Supertrooper knew more people and was more social than you were.
“Oh …I don’t think I’ve met Annie and Diego,” she admitted, “uh…where do they live?”

And maybe just to get the insanity snowball rolling a little more...
"What would you say is actually your favorite holiday tradition?"
So she could exploit it into something potentially ridiculous.

Liz had to think about it … she didn't really have that many holiday traditions other than going to midnight mass at Christmas with Professor Broom, which felt rather weird to admit that as her favourite tradition but she couldn't really think of anything else.
“Um … it’s … I like listening to the choir at midnight mass at Christmas?” she tried, it was the only thing she could think of to say.
