The Perk - Saturday Morning

Liz had had a really nice time at the party yesterday and spending time with Prompto and kissing him and even karaoke had been fun, which she had definitely not been expecting when she’d invited him to the party on Monday.

Even though she’d had a bit to drink, she wasn’t feeling that bad this morning and had decided to enjoy a coffee, her usual black with three sugars.

At least Liz wasn’t moping and crying at the Perk this time, unlike the other week … which had that really been two weeks ago?

Two months ago she never thought any of this would have been possible her go to a party and sing karaoke and kiss someone in public but she’d actually had fun yesterday and it had been nice and she’d felt comfortable and it had been a long time since she had actually felt that.

Lucille had woken up early. The apartment had been quiet and rather than to make tea for herself, and not for Tisarwat too, she decided to stop by the Perk before opening the shop.

Loss was a part of life, she knew that, and perhaps Tisarwat would be back, but for now she felt... lonely.

She ordered a pot of tea and some scones and looked around for a table.

Liz heard someone come into the Perk and looked up to see Lucille order at the counter and make her way over to the tables, she nodded and gave a warm smile, “good morning,” she said.

Lucille replied with the tiniest of smiles and a "good morning" in return.

"Have we met?"

Liz tilted her head, “I don’t think so,” she said as she considered, “I’ve only just recently moved back to Fandom after about a decade being away,” she explained, “I’m Liz Sherman, I run the Photo Hut,”

"Lucille Sharpe," she replied. "I run the flower shop."

She placed her tray on a nearby table.

“It’s nice to meet you Lucille,” Liz smiled, “have you been running the flower shop long?”
