Community Center Class: Beyond Cup Noodle; Thursday Evening [12/09].
Knowing that the one student that might still cause him the same level of deep concern he'd had at the beginning of this class was still out of town, it was a rather confident Ignis that came into the classroom for today's lesson, assuming none of the progress that had been made in the past few weeks had backslid at all into their former states.
"Good evening," he greeted the students with a nod. "In this class so far, we've spent a lot of time focusing on more specific recipes, but, today, I figured it would be interesting to try to explore a more broad but useful topic, and that is the simple art of baking bread. Bread is quite possibly, in this particular day and age, one of the most convenient of foods, as one can find it on nearly any grocery store, but the quality of such bread, while afforadble, is often quite suspect. And there is nothing that can compare to a nice bread made fresh in ones own hearth, so to speak.
"So today, that is what we will be focusing on entirely. The making of bread, from the mixing to the kneading to the baking, and also some of the ways in which to make a loaf of bread stretch through the week in a variety of different ways to get the most out of it. Let us begin.
"Oh," he then added, "before I forget, next week will be our final time meeting for the class, and I should like to do something a little different. I would like you to come prepare to cook a dish of your choosing for me to consider your progress in the class and make any final remarks or suggestion on the journey you have taken here. So please keep that in mind, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with. But, in the meantime, let us focus on our bread..."

Re: Baking Bread - Beyond Cup Noodle, 12/09.
Okay so he had gotten a bit carried away with the dough and he had dough everywhere but the bread had turned out pretty good if maybe a little bit crispy.
Aside from the dough, the mess wasn’t as bad as last week even though Goose noticed there was still a trail of glitter everywhere.
“Seriously, how much glitter did I get covered in at the party?” Goose shook his head, sending more glitter and dough flying. Apparently he had also gotten dough on him as well somehow.
Goose you asked Annie to use the glitter cannon on you and you were sober at that point.

There was a....small, considering pause.
"And how are we feeling?" he asked.
He might have checked in on him earlier, but, well, Ignis knee that an important part of effective mother henning involved a certain amount of comfortable distance, lest one feel a bit smothered by concern and nagging.
Re: Baking Bread - Beyond Cup Noodle, 12/09.
“Much better than the weekend,” he allowed with a sheepish smile, “I slept for most of Saturday, I don’t remember much of the party,” he admitted cautiously and paused, “how much did I have to drink?”
Way to much, it hadn’t stopped you from drinking more Goose.
Re: Baking Bread - Beyond Cup Noodle, 12/09.
"But still," he added, lest Goose start to think that such consumption was deemed acceptable or reasonable, "far more than one probably should. After all, what is the point in enjoying a party that one can barely even remember?"
Re: Baking Bread - Beyond Cup Noodle, 12/09.
Goose you slept shirtless, missing a shirt was normal for you in that regard.
He paused, “all that drinking seemed like a good idea at the time,” he said with a sheepish grin.
There was a pause, “and so was the glitter, next time I’m asking for a sweater,” or he was going to end up buying one.
Re: Baking Bread - Beyond Cup Noodle, 12/09.
But after that, he smiled, very small but undoubtedly warm.
"A sweater might be a wise choice," he said, "though I suspect it may have also gone missing, by the end of night."
Gone to wherever it was Gladio's sleeves had disappeared to, no doubt.

Not very well but he was learning.
“I do have a habit of losing my shirt,” he agreed, “even though losing it because I was extremely drunk was new though,”
Re: Baking Bread - Beyond Cup Noodle, 12/09.
"I'm afraid, however," he added, "I'm not sure if I can help with regards to the shirt. I've been working on that one with Gladio for years and still no success."
He was fairly certain he would get Noctis to like vegetables before ever getting Gladiolus Amicitia to stick to wearing a shirt if he didn't have to.

Dwight just stared at the loaf after he took it out of the oven. He had actually managed to pull it off... somehow. It looked like a normal loaf of bread (the top may have been a little misshapen but eh, details) and it smelled pretty darn good too.
Now the real test though was to see what Ignis thought of his attempt at garlic and herb bread.
Re: Baking Bread - Beyond Cup Noodle, 12/09.
"I daresay, Mr. Hendrickson," Ignis remarked, "though it appears to be lacking in glitter," How, Goose? Just...how were you still trailing glitter as though it was the very down of your namesake?, "that appears to be quite a formidable piece of work. I certainly hope looks aren't to be deceiving in this case."

"Well, I think it is definitely a success" Dwight said after taking a bite. "My tastebuds aren't complaining or anything at least."
