The Photo Hut - Thursday
Liz still couldn’t believe that she’d sung karaoke at the bar last night and that it was twice in one week she’d sung in public. The Liz from two months ago definitely wouldn’t have been able to do that and now she also had another date night with Prompto tomorrow that she was looking forward too.
At first Liz hadn’t noticed anything unusual when she went to open up the Photo Hut but when she turned on her computer she noticed that the screen was displaying some kind of Yule log and when she went to try and get into her emails she found that she wasn’t able to past the fire display.
She found that oddly amusing.
Her phone at least was working so once she opened the store she opened up her email on her phone and started checking them.

When he did come in, he did so with exaggerated nonchalance, humming a certain tune to a song that he hadn't heard before a certain bartending co-catsitter sent him a video, but that he'd heard many, many times since because he couldn't help just watching it over and over again. He was humming that lightly as he came in, took an idle look around, and then slowly moseyed his way over to the counter.
Where he stopped humming (maybe lightly singing a few beats, too), flashed Liz a grin, and asked, "You hungry?" He held up a paper bag. "I brought some sandwiches. Ignis made 'em, too, so you know they're good."

It could totally happen right? It wasn’t that much of a coincidence…
She smiled, feeling the heat rise to her cheeks, the blushing was starting early it seemed, “that actually sounds great, thank you,”

And Prompto, who was pretty sure his face was now going to permanently be splashed with a warm dusting of red and freckles, was more concerned about how those blushing cheeks of his were going to be sore from the grin he couldn't seem to keep off his face as he leaned his lanky self against the counter after relinquishing the sandwiches over to Liz.
"Good day so far?" he asked.

There was a pause as she took out the sandwiches and took a bite out of one of them, “it’s kind of ironic in a way,” she had to admit.
She shook her head, “oh, I have photos I took of Rain the other day, everyone was stuck wearing Santa hats and Rain now has a collection of them as toys and she was adorable playing with the hats, did you want to see them?” she was pretty sure she knew what the answer was but she felt it didn’t hurt to ask.

"Ummmmmm," he said, snorting with a laugh, "yeah I want to see them! I'd be crazy not to!"
no subject
“She was quite excited about the hats, I ended up keeping them for her,” she said with a smile.

He grinned over at Liz. "Maybe I'll swing by Furnado before I head back to the apartment," he mused. "See if they have any leftover, so Issa can have one, and they can match!"

It was, admittedly, though, a pretty close race.

He trailed off a little, before tilting his head and giving her a somewhat curious, slightly mischevious sort of look, because he thought he finally found the hook to bring it back around to the thing that sort of inspired him to come bug her today when he got in in the first place.
"Seems like I missed a few really good things this week..."
no subject
Strange how that worked.
She put her phone down and started going red, “I …uh went to the bar yesterday?” she tried, that was pretty unusual in itself maybe that was what Prompto was referring to.
Maybe. She could hope.

And, just to sort of drive the point home a little, he ducked his head head a little, feeling his own blushing creeping up on his face. Then lifted his eyes to look at Liz as he softly started singing. "I look at you all...see the love there that's sleeping..."

"Man," he then breathed out, "I really wish I could have been there for that..." He definitely owed Summer big time for sending him the video, though! "Such a pretty song..."
Sung by such a pretty person, no less.

There was as pause.
“I’m pretty sure it’s now going to be a regular thing? I think that’s what it sounded like…I’m not sure how Summer convinced me to get up and sing let alone agree to do it regularly,”
She hadn’t even had that much alcohol really.
no subject
More impotantly...
"Regularly, huh?" he asked, grinning again. "Guess I'm gonna have to shift my schedule to start coming back on Wednesday nights now..."
What a hardship!

Liz just smiled shyly and maybe a little bit hopefully up at Prompto, “I wouldn’t want to interfere with your work schedule, I know how important your work is,”
Still, if there was at least one familiar person she knew in the crowd …

She didn’t want to give his friends any more reason to doubt their relationship, since she figured she probably hadn’t convinced them that she wasn’t just a complete emotional wreck.
Liz had no idea about what the island had in store next weekend…
“You know…” she said, unable to believe that she of all people was suggesting this, “maybe we could even sing a duet…I mean..if you’d like to…” she stammered.

It would not be nearly enough time!

She paused, “oh before I forget did you have a particular favourite pizza that you would like me to order for tomorrow?” she had meant to ask earlier but
the mun forgothad managed to forget until now.no subject
the munPrompto had also totally meant to ask thatand then also forgot!"I actually figured I'd bring it with me," he told her, with a grin and a little swell of....something, for just....this synergy that they seemed to have going on, "and I was going to ask you the same thing! Because, I mean, I'm pretty much good with anything."

A warm, fuzzy, awesome feeling almost akin to walking on air right now.
Over pizza.
Yeah, he was pretty deep in at this point.
"...that you'll like it. Just to be safe, though, any one-hundred percent no-goes? Like, are you going to kick me out forever if I show up with pineapple on it?"

But also not even remotely worth the risk!
Still...
"Oh, sure," Promtpo half-teased, a precursor to later actually worrying about the exact thing he was joking about, "you say that now..."

She was pretty sure that was one sure way to make sure she would never be able to redeem herself to his friends.
