The Photo Hut; Monday [12/13].
Prompto really hadn't meant to be late coming in for his day at the Photo Hut, but, well...there had been chickens. In capes. And he personally felt it was his obligation...nay, duty!....to ensure that there was plenty of photographic evidience of such a phenominon, and the only thing preventing him from wanting to take them all home was the fact that he knew Issa would not stand for such a thing.
But chickens were great! They were like chocobos, but, like...TINIER!
And so while he was completely planning on going through some of the inventory in the store that day to see what he might need to borrow for his class next semester, Prompto found himself more often just distracted going through the pictures he'd taken on the way over and chuckling happily at the caped chicken antics he had captured in action and trying not to be a little bummed out by the fact that, since they were probably a holiday thing, they'd probably all be gone by tomorrow.
But at least he had the pictures to remember them by!
And he was wondering if somehow, chocobo capes needed to come into play for the final in his class this week....
If anything, it was all serving as an excellent distraction from just flailing about trying to find a good song for him and Liz to do at karaoke this week...

The Photo Hut is open!

Liz didn’t know that karaoke was soon going to be the least of her problems.
“Hi,” she smiled brightly as she came downstairs later that morning.

And, well, since Liz had to come closer to see the pictures as he held the camera, Prompto wasn't really looking looking at the screen anymore. His attention had shifted entirely over to her, with a soft little smile. He hesitated, for a moment, but all it took was his face gaining that all-too-familiar burning blush as he thought about that Friday, and how it had wound up being far less watching movies and far more making out on the couch to inspire him into action.
That action being attempting to land a small, unexpected stealth kiss. He had been aiming for Liz's cheek, wound up much closer to her jawline, but, well, he wasn't about to be picky or mad about it!

And right on cue, Liz started blushing as Prompto kiss made contact with her jawline.
She tilted her head up at him, shyly smiling as she also thought back to the other night and all of that kissing … it turned out they hadn’t needed any assistance from the mistletoe with that.
“Hi,” she said.
You already said that Liz.

Oh, look. Prompto had already said that, too.
Only this time, pretty much every single one of his freckles appeared to have come out and said hello as well under that steady glow of pink across his face, and he just had to bite his lip a little. A small breath of a laugh that turned into a grin, blush deepening as he figured he might as well use that opportunity to lean in and kiss her properly this time.

Then Prompto leaned in to kiss her and she had no objections at all to that and leaned in so that her lips would meet his.

Still, even the sheepishness of it all couldn't keep the grin off his face as he then asked, softly, "Having a good morning?"

“A very good morning,” she smiled up at him, “how about you?”

“That is saying a lot,” she said with a grin, “adorable chickens with capes is such a hard act to follow,”

But that slowly creeping feeling did start to sneak in there, and he bit his lip a little sheepishly as he realized he was probably being a little...much, and he ducked his head with an awkward sort of laugh, rubbing the back of his neck with his free hand.
"I, uhhh," he stammered out, "I, um...so I, uh, decided I am going to go ahead and teach photography again next semester....moose willing, anyway." He chuckled a little at his own joke, regretted it instantly, and shook his head. "So, um, you think....you think it'd still be okay if I maybe needed to borrow some stuff from the shop for it? I was gonna put together a list, y'know, of what I might need, but...well...I got distracted."
All this was said with his eyes now downcast toward the counter, as if he was afraid all those adoring glances had somehow used up his looking-at-Liz quota for the day, but he still then lifted his gaze back towards her with another faint smile, another shake of his camera.
"By chickens," he explained, as if that was necessary. "In capes. And then...you know...you." His voice then went teasing, playful. "You are very distracting....you know that?"

She grinned up at him for a good while before she finally answered his original question, “it’s still definitely okay if you need to borrow stuff for your class, let me know if you need my help for anything else … I’m …” she rubbed the back of her neck, “I’m not much of a teacher but I could probably help out if it was needed, you know ...” she added shyly, "if you wanted me to help that is,"

There was, however, a slight pause and a tilt of his head.
"Actually, Summer would make sense, too," he allowed. "She could just do an entire lesson on selfies and Instagram shots...."
Which, you know, the first part of that was totally his territory, too, but...well...
no subject
“Well if Summer couldn’t do the class I’m sure I could fill in if it was needed,” she offered, “I’m still learning my way through instagram and modern social media, so it would make more sense to have someone who knew more about that field teach,”
no subject
Especially since him not being able to be there for class would mean either he was needed back home in an official capacity or something had happened, Fandom-wise, that made him unable to teach, like turning into a puppy again or something.
"Maybe you could help chaperone," he mused, "if we do a photo field trip! Or just, I don't know, come in some time and offer up a different perspective..."
But as he mused over some possible ways to incorperate her into the class a little more, another thought struck him, one that set his face to blushing again, just like that, and it was probably pretty presumptious of him, and maybe even mentioning it was probably cursing the whole thing right out the gate, but he had to go and use the word chaperone, didn't he, which immediately made him think....
"And, uh, if anything," he ventured, biting his lower lip a little nervously as his leg started bouncing underneath him and he chanced a glance over, "you can let me drag you along with me on the school trip, or something..."
You know. The one that wouldn't even be months from now, but, well, it had been planted in his head, it wasn't going to leave him, and this past week had him feeling almost recklessly optimistic about all of this between them. Besides, it wouldn't even be their first trip together, right? And not even their next one, probably, if he managed to get her to come with him to Insomnia after the holidays sometime...

Then he mentioned the school trip and she ducked her head shyly as she could feel her cheeks start to burn again.
“Oh the school trip, I haven’t been on one in years,” Liz said thoughtfully, looking back up at him as she considered back to the trips that had been on when she was a student, “I know there was a multiverse backpacking trip that a group of us seniors went on but that wasn’t really tied to the school, that was after graduation,” she smiled up at him, “but if you don’t mind me tagging alone, I’d love to go on the next school trip,”

He trailed off a little at that thought, once again a little caught up in the whole just looking at her of it all, now with the added awe that went along with her actually agreeing to something as crazy as him inviting her along on a school trip for a semester that hadn't even started yet.
"It'll be nice," he said, "getting to have a plus-one to bring along. And we'll probably go somewhere cool, too..."
Possibly even somewhere...kinda romantic? But now maybe he really wa getting way ahead of himself...

especially because the mun went and checked those old threads from the tripshe shook her head when she thought about that experience, even though getting kidnapped hadn’t been fun … compared to say her other traumas …She smiled, “I bet the trip to Sidon’s world would have still been an incredible trip,” she said, tilting her head slightly and yes still blushing as she thought about the prospect of going on a trip next year with Prompto, “but the school trip next year does sound nice,” she grinned shyly up at him.
