"Well," said Ignis, once it was time to get class started, with a faint smile on his face as he considered his students for the last time in this particular setting, "it seems as though we....and the community center....have successfully made it to the end of the semester. Congratulations are certainly in order, but I should think we'll hold them off for just a bit longer, as we still have one more assignment to complete, and that is for you to present me with a dish of your choosing on your own without my guidance that will hopefully showcase at least a few of the things you have learned in this course. I will say that there has been a remarkable display of attentiveness and improval here that is quite impressive, and I do hope the both of you embrace this approach to cooking with a well-earned confidence and determination."

He would not say that Tisarwat's continued absence at the end of the semester certainly moved the bar higher than it would have should she have returned, but...well...

"With that," he nodded his head slightly, "I have said more than enough in this class; I shall turn the floor entirely onto you now, and let us see what you can whip us for us on our final day. I have no doubt," his faint smile went a little wry at that, "it will be memorable."

Not so much a lecture as it was Ignis's own brand of glowing compliments. Hopefully, by now, the two of them would have been able to pick up on the finer nuances of his manner of showing pride.

The kitchen is yours, the pantry is well-stocked, and you have the entirety of class to put together a dish to impress Ignis with.

Or to at least be passable and hopefully not bring things to a fiery end when you've already gone so far!

Goose had ended up asking Doc for help in choosing a recipe that he could prepare for class and Doc had sent through a recipe that he hoped Goose would be able to follow … he had made it through the semester without burning anything down, even though it wasn’t for a lack of trying.

He mostly was able to follow the recipe and even got through it without setting any fires so that was probably a miracle in itself.

There was still a huge mess left at the end though but the potato and chicken bake actually looked like it was supposed and there was not a trace of glitter to be found this week.

Ignis was far too poised and in control to let the relief he felt show when Goose successfully extracted his dish from the oven without much incident besides a warzone of a kitchen mess, but an astute observer might have noticed a near palpable shift in the air as any tenseness he held relaxed.

"I appreciate," he commented, "your boldness in deciding to approach this with a casserole style dish, Mr. Gooseman. How do you suppose it went?"

Goose glanced at his dish and then back up at Ignis, “I think it went okay?” he said thoughtfully, “nothing’s on fire?” he tried, that was usually a good sign.

So Dwight had been wanting try his hand at this since they their previous lesson on the topic. So, he decided he was going to make PIZZA! From SCRATCH! Granted it was a simple dough that needed minimal resting and such but still, he felt it was a good example of what he had learned and the progress he had made.

And thanks to Ingnis' teachings over the past few months, and a touch of a kitchen miracle, Dwight ended up with a rather nice looking Southern
BBQ Pork pizza!

No burned edges, no raw middle, and a nice balance of toppings and flavors. At least that was what Dwight was hoping for when he opened the oven as the timer went off and pulled out the pizza and set it on the counter.

"I appreciate bringing your own homemade dough into your pizza, Mr. Hendrickson," Ignis had perhaps a bit more evident smile as he considered the dish. "A simple step that truly elevates the final product. And compliments to going beyond the expected with your toppings, as well."

Dwight smiled, proudly one might even say, as he looked at the pizza then at Ignis.

"Figured the final dish and such a well monumental achievement of making it through without being kicked out of the class... (yes he HAD been worried about that at the start), deserved something a little more refined than a stack of sausage and peperoni."

Dwight cut up the pizza and then put a slice on a plate and handed it to Ignis before getting one for himself. He also made sure he had a slide set out for Goose too in case he wanted some for an end of the term dinner appetizer.

Who may or may not be humming 'the Carol of the Bells' under his breath. He didn't even know the song, but he had to admit, he rather enjoyed it for its catching dramatic flair.

(If I had time, I'd totally poorly photoshop Dwight, Goose, and Tisarwat's faces over Gladio, Noct, and Prompto's, because I am THAT easily amused)

Hehehe that would have been an epic pic- but it's the thought that counts :)
