Miguel was at work. In protest. Not that he was particularly religious, but shouldn't he at least have gotten to sleep in today?
He was wearing his ugly Spider-man Christmas sweater, so there. But the cook was wearing a hat with LED lights twinkling all over it, the dishwasher had a sweatshirt on that read Save a tree: celebrate Chanukah!, and the busboy had one with a tree that glittered and read Merry Solstice!, so he was at least in good company.
