The Photo Hut - Thursday

Liz knew the last thing she should be doing was being at the Photo Hut in this state. She hadn’t slept at all the last two nights on top of her lack of sleep the last couple of weeks and now she was having trouble focusing on anything but the alternative was lying in bed and being afraid to sleep.

Today was normally her general admin work day and she spent a lot of it at the computer but she found herself staring at the computer screen and no matter how many times she tried to focus her vision kept blurring.

She gave up trying to work at the computer and tried to move to find something else to attempt but a wave of dizziness overcame her and she found herself trying to steady herself against the counter, which was proving to take a lot of effort to do even that.

[expecting a certain someone to visit and their thread will be last but the Photo Hut can be open before that}

Now that Prompto was finished with his class, he could swing back around to his apartment to pick up a certain treat he'd brought with him from Eos, then swing by the Perk to pick up a few coffees to go with it, and then, finally, swing by the Photo Hut to deliver them both to their intended recipient.

"Hey, Liz!" he called out cheerfully as he managed to push himself through the door even with all that in his hands. "I come bearing--"

Of course, that was when he saw Liz, looking somehow much worse than she had even on Monday, and he stopped for a moment, blinked, and then hurried to set down everything he was holding so he could hop over the counter and go to her.

"--gifts," he still finished, but it was rushed and unimportant now as he reached for her. "Hey, you okay?"

Hands hovering awkwardly, not knowing whether touching Liz right now would help her or only make things worse, Prompto felt a stab of panic as he suddenly felt unsure of what to do. Feeling like he probably should have been better prepared for a situation like this, but the jarring whiplash between his mood a second ago and everythng now seemed to have dulled all of his senses in that regard.

"What do you need?" he asked quickly. "Water? Should I get some water? I'll get you some water..."

And despite him saying that, he wasn't actually sure if he should move, because then he'd have to leave her, and she definitely looked like she shouldn't be left alone, either!

Dammit! He really needed to start carrying potions around with him, or something!

"Ohgod!" Thankfully, even while he was internally flailing, Prompto's reflexes were still pretty good, and since his arms were already prepared to be there for her at the first sign of trouble, he was able to grab Liz and support her before she managed to get too far. And she was pretty light (distressingly light, if he was honest), too, so at least he was confident in at least that part, while his flailing could move up to his brain.

"Liz?" he asked, looking down at her as her held her tight. "Liz! Are you--can you hear--oh god..."

Realizing that she wasn't even responsive, a worried groan wedged its way out of him. Definitely needed to start carrying around more potions! But that wasn't very helpful now, was it? Because Liz had just passed out in his arms right now, and he had a panicked moment of indecision about what he should do, and she looked bad, like, real bad, and thinking back to how she said she hadn't been sleeping well and how it honestly looked like she hadn't managed to sleep in weeks....

"Hold on," he said, even though he was pretty sure Liz couldn't even hear him, and he shifted, carefully scooping her up instead so he was carrying her, and, feeling incredibly grateful for the fact that he definitely never skipped arm day, started to head toward the door. "It's okay. You're going to be okay. We'll just get you to the clinic, you're going to be fine..."

At this point, though, he was pretty sure he definitely wasn't saying any of that for Liz's benefit so much as for his own.
